Crosstown Rebels are getting ready to celebrate 5 years of Get Lost at this year’s WMC, undoubtedly destined to be the legendary part of the conference, it hosts the strongest team yet of the world’s finest underground house and techno cohorts including Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Clive Henry, Konrad Black, Mr C, Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson, Dyed Soundorom, Shaun Reeves, Matt Tolfrey, Lee Foss, Soul Clap, Droog, Butane, live sets from new Rebel faces Glimpse and Deniz Kurtel and many more alongside label head and international music figure, Damian Lazarus,
Now firmly established as THE Saturday morning afterhours WMC party, this year Get Lost is back in Electric Pickle – Miami’s best venue – with full use of three rooms for the first time including the vast outdoor space over a 12 hour marathon. Get Lost is the main event, guaranteeing people the music they wont hear anywhere else, hitting the ears first here with the freshest as yet unreleased music that will be shaping the dancefloors of the world in the year ahead. This is the party where the leading DJs from all genres come to party, where Harvey rubs shoulders with Sasha on the dancefloor and where forward thinking clubbers and party animals travel from across the globe to make this, the number one event on the WMC schedule.
"When you start a party at 5am on a Saturday morning, you are basically inviting all sorts of madness in. I like to think that the madness we create at Get Lost is, for one day a year, the best madness on Earth. For the 5th birthday, I've invited the maddest crew possible to make this 12 hour marathon a party we all remember and savour for a long time to come. Can't wait to Get Lost this year!"
Damian Lazarus January 2010
“I love playing at Get Lost WMC as for me it pulls in one of the best crowds at the whole conference. It’s a similar vibe to Circo Loco in its "family" ideaology, where everybody involved are quite good friends which I think is important. Last years move to the Electric Pickle also helped massively as I think its one of the best venues in Miami. Also the party usually falls on or is very close to my birthday so you can imagine how ridiculous it ends up !Miss it at your peril." Clive Henry, January 2010
Get Lost started in WMC in 2006 to celebrate Crosstown Rebels successful label compilation series, which has since released episodes from Dinky, Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus & Matthew Styles. Get Lost have staged great events from LA to London and New York and the next compilation out later this year is mixed by Dyed Soundorom.
Crosstown Rebels are the spearhead of underground dance music culture - always pushing the boundaries of new and exciting music, matched with relentless energy and continually supporting its tight knit family of artists. Figurehead Damian Lazarus released his debut studio album last year and took on a global live tour to great success. Crosstown Rebels also released pioneering studio albums from Butane and Jamie Jones, picking up various rewards along the way. Armed with an invigorated spirit for the new decade, the Rebels are armed with debut albums from Glimpse and Deniz Kurtel, both set for release later this year and with 5 years of parties to celebrate it’s the perfect time to give the awaiting public a dose of what’s to come.
