LOUIS LA ROCHE
Louis La Roche headlines Human Error’s May party before taking on this years festival scene from Creamfields to The Isle of Wright Festival. This really is a rare opportunity to catch such an awesome DJ/Producer in such a cool, intimate venue.
Louis La Roche is perhaps the next great hero for the British dance music scene. Taking his influences from UK legends such as The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Basement Jaxx, along with the unmistakable French house scene of the 1990s, Louis La Roche grew up listening to Daft Punk, Cassius and Mr. Oizo, and his inspirations have already led to him being confused for one of his heroes.
Despite only being born in 1990, it was this decade of the dance scene which inspired Louis to create rather than simply listen. He cites The Bucketheads’ ‘The Bomb’ as one of his favourite tracks from the era, and his love for the decade has transferred into his own music.
Gritty and charmingly rough around the edge, Louis’ tracks are soulful and full of tributes to his love of disco, soul and his upbringing on nineties house music..
The influence of his mum’s funky record collection and his early listening habits are evident in his work, as each song is based around long forgotten soul samples which Louis has painstakingly sought out to build his work around.
But Louis is doing far more than updating other people’s ideas – he’s bringing the euphoria of nineties house, lost eighties soul classics and vintage seventies funk to the fickle MP3 generation. Louis La Roche merges these influences to make a sound all of his own.
Human Error regulars Stealth Disco are back to once again get the place rockin and make you dance like a goon. The thing I love about these guys is it’s clear to see they are having as much of a good time behind the decks as the punters are on the dance floor.
Expect Electro, Dubstep, Pop and Disco meets whatever Rock, Hip Hop & Garage they have in mind. All mashed together into a seamless party mix. Anything goes with these guys. Just wear some comfortable shoes.
Synthia is the collective electronic music name for DJ and production duo; Matt Hope and Angus Paterson. They specialize in making a rare mixture of rhythmic and melodic music to form a unique and fun brand of electronic-dance. They enjoy using retro synths and found sounds as well as using familiar drum machines and synthetic sound effects to combine an amalgamation of aural pleasure!
They’ve got an array of mixes available online so be sure to give them a listen. If you havnt got time then expect an hour of bouncy, funky electronic disco. A definite crowd pleaser.
Griff, one half of Human Error and resident DJ plays his usual blend of electronic disco pop from soft synths to funky beats to trashy bass lines. He likes to please a crowd so expect some cutting edge remixes from today’s popular artists to yesterdays feel good memories.
Griff has also teamed up with Appetite’s Richard Britton to form Hear We Dance DJs. They’re sure to be playing at a party near you soon.
Finally the Human Error tag team will be in full effect as Skilow makes his long awaited DJ debut. Skilow will be mixing things up early doors with his too kool for skool Nu Wave Disco beats mixed up with his infamous 2 face mash face mash up’s. So hold tight massive as Skilow looks set to kick start the part with a BANG
