Downstairs Neil Thornton, Guille Bo and Dave Rose and friends are on duty for a non stop hotmix of disco and deep house and electronic funk while upstairs the lovely ladies Michelle Kelly and Erika T’s will be hosting the 1st floor after their crazy Boudoir bank holiday sessions at the Horse and Groom so expect the unexpected .
Discovery was launched last year as a weekly party, soon becoming the ubiquitous Sunday sessions at the lovely Horse & Groom where guests including I:Cube, Move D, Rob Mello, Pete Herbert, Pilooski, Trevor Jackson, Ivan Smaghee & Tim Paris, The Revenge,Steve Kotey, Craig Richards, Brennan Green, Max Essa, Ray Mang, Richard Sen, Simon Lee, Curious People, Nathan Gregory Wilkins & many more were invited to play extended sets and delve deep through their vast collections to provide a magic carpet ride in sound showcasing their key influences ranging from funk, Soul & Disco to Early House ,Chicago, Electro, Dub,80’s dance and dark pop,rediscovered unclassics through to more modern sounds. When residents Neil Thornton (Lasermagnetic) Dave Rose & Argentinean Disco don Guille Bo play together, expect a nonstop party of rediscovered unclassics alongside more modern house and electronic delights where the most important aspect is about the making sure that everyone is having the best possible time
and having a Fiesta as Guille calls it.
Hung like a Horse upstairs
For this, the last Hung Like a Horse before the almighty Cockstock Festival in 2 months time (Saturday 18th September) we invite all sorts back to 'The Disco Pub' for more great music and unrivaled party atmosphere. As ever the resident DJs bring ONLY the best tunes in their collections, from acid beats to wild guitars, to create a unique and eclectic party soundscape... So please join us for what promises to be another hands in the air night of classic house anthems all night long down at the H&G.
Situed on Curtain Road, with a traditional yet quirky interior, fully stocked bars over two spacious floors with plenty of room to drink and dance and complete with a state of the art soundsystem of which most clubs would envy, we'd like to think that the H&G + HLAH presents you with all the ingredients for a perfect night out.
