FRI OCT 1 - CODE'S FIRST FREE PARTY - AND ONE OF THE BIGGEST RISING STARS IN TECHNO AND ELECTRONICA - MAX COOPER.
MAKE SHAPES PRESENTS - CODE FREE PARTY!!!
Enter your email address at the link below to join the list and gain free entry. You can't get in without being on the list!
It's time to step up a level at CODE. We started the night to throw big parties and showcase the intelligent, eclectic end of the underground. But for our October party, we've decided to treat you to something better! First we've got one of the most forward-looking guests around today - the UK's electronica whizkid Max Cooper. And second, it's a free party - a thank you for all your support so far, but also because we want to make sure it's an experience no-one will ever forget...
Who are our one-off, free guests?
MAX COOPER (Traum / Autist / UK)
Having just gone top 20 on the Hype Machine with his unofficial remix of Portishead, Max Cooper is probably *the* rising star in UK techno right now. His stark, beautiful and emotive remixes of acts like Hot Chip and Au Revoir Simone, alongside his cracking dancefloor techno on labels like Traum and Autist, make him one few acts that truly bridge the divide between emotional electronica and heads-down techno. That's why Fabric asked him recently to headline their Sunday night, Wetyourself, and why he's now taking his
live show to festivals right across Europe. We're huge fans, and half of CODE, the Get People Crew, have even asked Max to remix their first single... www.maxcooper.net
ABE DUQUE (Gigolos / ADR / NYC)
But this party isn't just about Max... We've also got another massive headliner: the man XLR8R magazine called the "acid-house/techno don" and who ResidentAdvisor called a "techno pioneer". It's New York's Abe Duque, and the official London launch party for his new compilation LIVE AND ON ACID. Having just smashed Fabric with a live set with Blake Baxter, Abe will be mixing up his hits like What Happened?, Acid and Disco Nights with almost an album of new live material put together for ACID - plus his own take on nearly 20 years of playing in clubs right round the world, from the first club-kids days at the Limelight NYC to his headline set coming at the Amsterdam Dance Event sharing a stage with Dave Clarke, Robert Hood and Green Velvet...
TO COME TO THE FREE PARTY
All you need to do is follow the link below and enter your email address...
We'll be giving away 10 copies of LIVE AND ON ACID, and free exclusive DJ mixes from Max Cooper, Get People and the CODE DJs to everyone who joins the list - but you have to join the list to get into the party...
And arrive early - with a guest like Max and free entry, it's going to be jammed from very early on.
A bi-monthly party at the Rhythm Factory, we focus on bringing artists together who work in different genres but who share similar characteristics in sound - house, techno, dubstep or IDM, it's an underground approach, a pinnacle of fresh dance music that cranks up the dancefloor irrespective of its tempo. A party for the musically open-minded who like to get down.
