Steve Parker (SCI+TEC | Ovum | 1605 | Synewave)
Hailing from the coastal city of Porto, Portugal, Steve Parker has quickly risen through the ranks in the world of electronic music to cement himself as an established DJ. His prowess as a producer has lead to him being signed by reputable labels such as SCI+TEC, Umek's 1605, New York's own Synewave, and Weave, amongst others. Recognizing his aptitude for superlative tracks and an abundance of talent, label boss Dubfire has personally taken Parker under his wing.
Flying through variations of house and techno with organic resonances as a DJ, Steve Parker‘s tracks have been remixed by Paul Ritch & Okain, Xpansul, Monoloc, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kyle Geiger, Damon Wild amongst an ever budding list of esteemed artists.
Having launched his label SPARK MUSIK and its inaugural EP this month, coupled with upcoming releases on Josh Wink's Ovum, Paul Ritch's Quartz Rec and Sleaze Records, 2010 has proven to be a fruitful year for Steve Parker. At his present pace, the future promises to propel Parker to unprecedented heights and we expect major things from him as an artist.
Syed Raza (Harthouse Mannheim | Excentric Muzik | Sleaze Records)
One half of the duo Subfractal, Syed is a relatively recent transplant to New York. Initially starting his musical career in Toronto, where his partner Fahad Ahmed and him met, Subfractal quickly established themselves as staples of the local techno scene.
Having released on reputable labels such as Harthouse Mannheim, Excentric Muzik, Sleaze Records, Bosphorous Underground, Frequenza, amongst others, 2009 saw their remix of Larry Power's 'Milk' at the #1 spot on the highly competitive Beatport Minimal charts for over 6 weeks, furthering their reputations as forward thinking producers.
With features at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and at the Detroit Electronic Music Conference this past year, as well as having played numerous international shows, we can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for them.
Nunzi (Bosphorous Underground | BEEF Records | Sound Mass Records)
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Andrew Nunziata has come a long way since his start in the music game. Music enthusiast turned producer, his influences range from funky tech house to the darker side of the genre, covering everything in between. Having enjoyed some recent success with his latest EP “Elleda” coming in at 22 on the Beatport Tech House charts, and a number of successful gigs under his belt across the east coast and Canada, we expect him to put on quite the show tonight.
Matias Jofre (Rite of Wednesdays | (S)innerScene)
Born in Argentina and currently residing in New York, this DJ/producer is one of the regulars on the local circuit. If you know your music and are an avid party-goer, chances are you’ve experienced his performances at one point or another. Having played numerous shows across town, and purveyor of sounds at the Rite of Wednesdays party, Matias is a natural behind the decks and we’re happy to have him on board for the night.
