Mix-O-Soup is a new party that will bring you some of the best young emerging talents in the electronic music scene and some of the most established & respected artists from across Europe'
So come down and join the celebration of our opening party in the heart of buzzing Shoreditch at the infamous Bar Music Hall on the 19th February!!!
We are very proud to present Pablo Tarno and Onirik as our special guests for the first episode of MIX-O-SOUP.
The duo met back in the 90s on the tennis courts of Brussels. Childhood rivalry instantly transformed itself in music communion when they met again in London, almost ten years later. Pablo introduced Onirik to the underground music world of London; it was only matter of time before they started spinning together to form a killer dj duo.
In 2010 Pablo has released an EP on Serialism with a remix from Greek hero Ekkohaus and has recently been featured on Remake Musique under the alias of Bitch Muchannon. Onirik has released a track on Snubb with fellow producer Mark Chambers and is now preparing his debut Ep on Serialism, label for which he works as A&R.
They have shared decks with many important artists such as Jay Shepheard, Jin Choi, Kate Simko, Cesar Merveille, Shaun Reeves, Cesare vs Disorder, Rudolf, Matt Tolfrey only to name a few.
Their style encompasses several sub-genres of house, techno and disco music, easily blending together Perlon's minimalism with the raw sound of Underground Quality or the more recent sound of Retrofit.
MAIK YELLS, our regular guest and one of our favourite Dj 's. He's a very talented producer who has been studying, playing and making music for as long as he can remember. He started his career as a Dj and producer when he moved to London in 2004. He soon made his way onto the decks of some the best underground clubs and after parties in the capital and is currently resident at "So Up" and at festivals like Music '05 (Sicily), Berlin's legendary Bar 25. Not content with spinning great tunes Maik also started working in the studio: 'Roniti' on Billy Dalessandro's imprint, Siteholder/uncut (as one half of Beeleejean), 'Attack the Cab' (Neovinyl) which was picked up by Steve Bug, Lee Curtiss, amongst others. In September 2010, 'Mikolai-Tum Kone (Maik Yells Remix)'on Picknick which gained immediate support from Bret Johnson and Tini, and, in December 2010 released 'Hanachan' on Neovinyl Allstar's Various Artists(Neovinyl) with support from Alland Byallo, Varoslav...
Also supported by the residents Aletz & Riva
Aletz first fell in love with music in the late 90's back home in Italy. In 2005 he moved to London and soon got involved with Underground parties such as D-Late and Breakfast at Egg. In 2010 he decided to switch from promoter to Dj and jump behind the decks.
Riva had his first gig just a few months ago playing for "Raised' @ Catch. Here is his latest mix to get you in the mood! http://soundcloud.com/mix-o-soup
