BRUNO PRONSATO & SAMMY DEE
With Half Hawaii, what you get is nothing less than Sammy Dee and Bruno Pronsato. Sammy Dee (of the weird but wonderful Pantytec) is a legendary Berlin figure with a career stretching back to the 1980s. Berlin import (by way of Seattle), Bruno Pronsato has turned out a plethora of top-notch releases on choice labels Orac, Hello?Repeat, and Musique Risqu? This pair of characters joined forces, introducing the public to their off-kilter minimal sounds on Perlon and Hello?Repeat.
Soho has steadily established himself within the london underground scene. born & raised in the middle east, growing up in a region not really known for its pioneering electronic sound, yet he was still able to find music that would inspire him within his parents record collection..an avid collector of music from a young age, everything from pop through to jazz, disco, rock and hip hop..as a vinyl purist it was a natural progression for soho to move on to spinning records in 1999. Since then his eclectic dj sets have been a mixture of deep, groovy, house & techno as well as everything in between! His productions have been signed and pressed on established labels like Kailash, Multi Vitamins and Safari, as well as a few digital labels..he has been lucky to see his tracks charted by the likes of Raresh & Marcel Dettmann. Forthcoming release on Culprit Records and his own project 'LikeThat Music' are sure to make the masses stand up and take notice of this talented artist.
Presently Soho is an employee of london’s own phonica records and continues on his musical ventures providing the dance floors with the material which makes your hips shake and your ears taste the exquisite goodness.
Matthew started working with Nottingham based Shrink Records and then quickly went on to work with Multi Vitamins and Connect Four Records. He has recently been working closely with Leftroom and Retrofit, which is both London, based labels, and has released on Sammy Dee's new label, Ultrastretch. In 2008, a move to Berlin saw him able to play at top venues like Panorama Bar, Weekend Club, Club Der Visionaire and many more. Matthew’s dj style is very eclectic with him combining slow and trippy House and Techno with dark Electronica, also squeezing in Dub Reggae and African influenced music. When playing, he is not afraid to slip between styles arguing that the main thing that matters is that all the music has lots of groove and soul.
Mark Chambers has always found sanctuary in the corners of his mind, for in the corners you will find your true nature and true creative being. His mission is to free people from the confines of the music they are accustomed with and make them really think about what they are listening to and at the same time get the floor pump-in." I just play records that move me and let others worry about what it is called. A good DJ makes a techno fan think he heard techno that night and a house head think he heard house." In my opinion, a good DJ makes everyone leave the club thinking he played a different sound."
Born in Darlington England and raised up in the Middle East this 28 year old is up and coming. He started producing in 2006 Whether crafting perc-y, not-quite-dance floor techno, or rumbling digital house, Mark continually strives to create music that honours the past beyond empty tribute or cultural appropriation, by infusing the digital tools of the present with a little of the magic known as human imperfection. Anything that sounds weird and original with a strong element of elbow is what gets Mark grooving. With Release coming out on the likes of Leftroom, Culprit, Safari Numerique and some remixes out on Nice Try Records, N.O.N Music and a few other various labels this summer Marks settled in nicely on London east side.
Bavarian Claus Voigtmann is a relatively fresh name within electronic music terms, however; a rapidly noted one. Influenced by his father’s love of music since childhood Claus was exposed to a large record collection including jazz, rock, blues and classical. Now a qualified Architect whose works are used in projects including web design, advertisement and flyers for high profile clients, it was in his early 20’s that an Architectural career opportunity led Claus to London where he was exposed to the vibrant clubbing scene and the music that makes it tick. Head honcho of one of East London’s best underground parties TOI TOI running it alongside his partner Isis, They have built up a huge reputation with the cutting edge guest they have brought to London at their parties. With support from Shaun Estrago and Shardai we are excited to bring you this line up.
