First up is Victor Simonelli, the man who’s name is synonymous with the cutting edge of the dance music scene.
Victor Simonelli is one of the New York’s finest and most prolific DJ’s. He was also one of the early pioneers of the unique NYC underground dance music movement that has now become a phenomenon it its own right and religiously followed by the clubbing faithful the world over. A producer/re-mixer, song writer, record label owner, and highly sought after DJ, are just four facets of this multi-talented young man. His discography of production, writing. mixing and editing credits reads like a “Who’s Who!”
Victor has spent his entire lifetime committed and devoted to music, making his own inimitable contribution in DJing, production, mixing and song-writing. It is his unique sound of uplifting and spiritual music that has propelled him to the forefront of the Dance scene, and acknowledged him with the credit of being one of its leading exponents!
Next up is Anthea (Phonica). Anthea began to learn the craft of DJing back in 1997 and in the intervening years has come up through the ranks demonstrating a subtlety and sophistication that most of her male counterparts could only wish for. She has managed to hone a style which varies between house and techno but it is deep, tribal and bassline fuelled yet always sweetly funk-driven and cutting edge. Anthea’s deck skills have enabled her to share the booth with luminaries like Locodice, Jay Haze, Efdemin, Derrick Carter and ZIP. Holding down residencies and regular guest spots in her home town of London was only the beginning, with bookings now coming in further afield at clubs such as Panorama Bar, Ibiza’s Underground & Space on the back of burgeoning career in the studio. She is also now stepping up for her first dates at Fabric. With a great sense of mood and groove, she has found her feet as a producer and her first efforts have now debuted on key labels Freak n’Chic, Cecille, Phonica Records, Supplement-Facts and Tuningspork which demonstrate the quality on offer and bode well for a successful and inspiring future.
Joining them both will be Larry Tee, the famous New York City-based DJ, club promoter, and music producer who coined the musical genre term Electroclash and helped launch the careers of such artists as RuPaul, Scissor Sisters, Fischerspooner, Peaches, W.I.T., and Avenue D, and has collaborated with Amanda Lepore and Princess Superstar. Topping the list of the '50 Most Loathsome New Yorkers' in New York Press's trend-maker edition, beating off stiff opposition from celebrities including socialites the Olsen Twins, Vanity Fair chief Graydon Carter and Carlos D of Interpol, New York Press credited Tee as ‘a hipster before there were hipsters, a club kid before Michael Alig dismembered one and a man who made Williamsburg cool again’. His electroclash credentials are celebrated around the world, cementing his superstar DJ status down to a Tee.
Finally, holding it all together like superglue, is the fantastic JB of MES Records, bringing the support and a whole lot of dirty Bank Holiday cheer!
