LOVEFIX & BUMP SENSIBILITY join forces to bring you CROSSFADE
==============[Bang the Box, Lazy Days SF]
Not willing to claim any one genre as his “style”, Lance DeSardi's musical output always teeters somewhere between house and techno, and is always highly electronic. At 30 years old, living in San Francisco, his music embraces all of his influences to the fullest, creating a unique juxtaposition of styles, deep to jacking and back again. These days, with the party in full swing in SF, Lance has his grubby fingers in almost every aspect of music. He’s just started a label and coinciding club night called Bang the Box,and has a slew of new releases set to go. In his hometown of Dallas, Texas he got into music at an early age; and not the sounds of the honky tonk you might expect. At twelve a friend introduced him to industrial and dance music, listening to bands like Nine Inch Nails, Nitzer Ebb, LFO, and 808 State. As he dug deeper, the raw energy in music from Detroit and Chicago started to pique his interest. He couldn’t get enough. Next thing he knew, he was at the local record store every Wednesday, waiting for the twelve inches to come in. Once he grasped the DJ thing, he started to mess around with samplers and keyboards, trying to emulate the records he liked. Knowing that production was a means to help get DJ gigs, the combination became an obsession. Hearing his records played to a crowd brought him a whole different feeling than mixing other peoples music, and he couldn’t live without either of them. Not long after getting his first few songs on wax, he uprooted and moved to California. Having had enough of the dry plains of Texas, he wanted to put the “small fish in a big pond” theory to the test. It proved to work in his favor, and he quickly became a mainstay in the house music community, releasing records on labels like Classic, Naked Music, Coco Machete, Seasons, and PIAS, to name a few. With his 2003 underground hit “Tie Me Up”, under the moniker Land Shark, or his huge remix of Zap Mama’s “Rafiki”, he solidified his place in dance music lore.

In 2003 Jaime G. created, Late Nite, his own residency, which ran consecutively for 3 years every Friday and Saturday night! Late Nite brought together a melting pot of musical genres and local talent, and was touted the perfect party “jump off “ spot. He has also made appearances nationwide from San Francisco to NYC. VIKTOR CARRILO===[Droid, Xeriscape, Love Fix LA]
VS. DANIEL SATTA===[Xeriscape Germany]
[Special opening set celebrating Daniel Satta’s contribution to L.A.’s scene, as he’ll be leaving L.A. returning home to Germany]
Viktor is a Los Angeles-based techno DJ and musician who has been immersed in the local electronic music scene since the 1990s. He's been performing and promoting his own events for more than a decade. A member of the Droid Behavior techno crew, he has performed at many Droid events. Carrillo is a graduate of the Recording Engineering program at the Musicians' Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, and his resume includes a 6-year stint as the manager of Higher Source Records, helping select music for some of the top DJs in LA. Carrillo is also a Traktor DJ software specialist for Berlin-based music software innovators Native Instruments. As an original member of LoveFix collective Viktor has played a significant role assisting in production and creating community on the dance floor.
Daniel Satta is a new face out of Los Angeles' small but admirably vital and diverse electronic music scene. Being devoted to and involved into electronic music culture for the past 25 years, may it be as DJ, promoter or just as the guy who's got the loudest laughter on the dance floor, Daniel by any means paid his tributes.
Starting out with playing two cassette decks at School-Parties in the late 80s, up to hosting and DJing at “Techno-Parties” back in Darmstadt, Germany in the early and mid- 90's, up to working at the record store pushing Techno and House records around the Millennium, all up to the year 2004 where he relocated to Berlin to start working at Native Instruments, one of the worlds finest audio hard- & software manufacturers, Daniel, not only due to his German heritage, literally came a long way to finally show up at the front door of the electronic music world.
Since his relocation to L.A. in early 2007 he began manifesting an artistic relationship with John von Seggern & Viktor Carrillo, two other iconic figures out of L.A.'s shrill nightlife, in order to form Xeriscape Records; a platform to release contemporary electronic dance music after their fancies.
Daniels' releases as 'Satta' usually tend to be a little darker and quirkier where his output as 'Daniel Zeta' is clearly more playful and dance floor orientated. His latest release, the "Beacon E.P." is available on Beatport.
