After the huge success of our sell-out launch party with Terje Bakke, we were so impressed with Public Life's vibe & atmosphere that we happily return to the toilet for our next installment of Rejam mayhem. While the venue is staying the same, we ensure that our booking policy is as dynamic as possible by keeping our promise and presenting a diverse roster of the most exciting up-and-coming DJ/producers of the moment……….if you don’t know, now you know!
Rejam is very proud to present our next headline act. One of the UK's finest underground house talents, Mr Tom Demac. With slick productions on the ever innovative Liebe*Detail as well as London based Techno/House label murmur, Tom now stands as one of the most sought after producers in underground electronic music. With as much pedigree behind the desk as he has in the booth, we can assure you that no one is safe from that huge analogue bass in your face!
Continuing the line up on the night we have support from two of London's finest, Peter Glasspool & J Nelson. Pete & J have become good friends of the Rejam family since their recent initiation on our very own weekly radio show. We can't wait for these boys to 'throw down' behind the toilet turntables and show us what they got!
Completing this perfect merge of globally profiled and homegrown talent is our residents who will be there to showcase the vast array of sounds that the Rejam brand can deliver. Expect nothing but quality upfront electronic music with a groove-laden journey of deep, bass driven house & techno music from this very special Rejam line up....
TOM DEMAC (Murmur / Liebe*Detail / Hypercolour)
On headline duties is Tom Demac. The Mancunian house DJ/producer's sound is all about groove. His trademark deep bass lines and spacious vocals give his music an irresistible atmosphere which we can't wait to witness first hand this July. It's now just over a a year since Tom gave up his day job and took up the music full-time. Just over 12 months ago he removed his cape, stepped out of the charming and convincing Web Design manager alter-ego, and has spent every week day since hunched over his synths in the studio. So far, his 2 stand-out tracks, 'Rivalry with Irony' and 'Slip Slop Slap' have been hitting monthly top 10 and top 30 respectively on Resident Advisor. Combined with a healthy year of gigging, including taking his Live show to Fabric, Space - Ibiza, Mulletover, Freerotation and many other places in between (collecting a fine selection of club toilet photos along the way), being remixed by Soulphiction, Luke Solomon, Jamie Jones, Wolf and Lamb, Dave Aju etc…2011 is already shaping up to be a good year for Tom with more releases lined up for Murmur, Liebe Detail, Hypercolour and the launch of the new techno project - 'Dense' with good friend Glimpse.
JACK DOYLE & NPD (Rejam Residents)
Setting the party off straight are the Rejam Residents Jack Doyle & NPD. The guys behind the Rejam Radio Show and the musical direction of the party, we couldn't imagine anyone else on warm up duties.
J NELSON (Cadenza London)
J will be flying over from his season long residency for 'Lost In Ibiza' especially to play for us. Following his masters orders, J released a series of mixes entitled "ABUSE ME PLEASE" which has been running since 09 and has been getting some well-deserved recognition. His Groovy Jackin' House style has seen him win the 'DSI & MIXMAG SNOWBOMBING COMPETITION' in 2010, giving him the great opportunity to play the 'Mountain terrace' on the same bill as Jamie Jones, James Zabelia & Fat boy slim to name but a few. He has also made regular appearances in 2010 at many nights across London including, Super cool, Junk Yard, Dirtbox, Viva La House and also rounded off the year playing for one of the biggest labels in house music…CADENZA.
2011 has already seen J & Pete deliver a marathon 4 DJ/4 hour live guest mix alongside Leroy Roberts & Iain Kemz on our very own Rejam radio show. Plus his very own separate 120 minute guest mix, which has received a great deal of attention.
PETER GLASSPOOL (City Fly)
Hypnotic sound scape low end house is what u can expect from Mr Glasspool, taking pride on building a record collection that is as diverse as it is abstract to say the least. Pete's influences range from a vast array of underground talent that caught his ear early on, filling his youth with dance floor action. Many years spent listening to the likes of Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos has helped pete to develop a fine tune that exceeds anybody's expectations. His ability to create an atmosphere whether it be on early warm up duties or an after-hours shift has caught the eye of many, playing venues such as the legendary Back To Basics in Leeds and a whole host of other respectable clubs, parties and events in and around east London where he currently resides. Production wise, expect deep filled low end driven grooves with plenty of funk, soul and swing. After recently being signed to the fantastic Act Natural house music label and making his debut appearance on our radio show earlier this year, be sure to check out this rising talent as he's one to watch..........
With a line-up and venue that we are truly proud of, we can't wait for you all to join us for our next instalment of Rejam raving.
Expect bigger and better…
Until the sunsets and the party begins...Rejam!
