Cubism featuring Saytek - Live photo gallery
Ticket sales have ended
Cubism returns to Cargo for another party with label partner Saytek performing Live this time as part of his Reworked album tour which is taking in clubs up and down the country. Recently described as “amazing” and “one of the UK’s freshest and exciting acts” by the legendary Carl Cox to 13 million listeners worldwide, its safe to say is been a great Summer for Saytek and his world-renowned hardware live shows with everyone from DJ mag to Data Transmission grabbing him for an interview over the last couple of months.
Saytek has made his name as one of the best live acts to emerge from the UK and has been booked as the main headliner at Fabric in London, Sankeys in Manchester and Mint club Leeds as well as being top of the billing at international dates including The Zoo Project Ibiza, Amnesia Milan, Café de Anvers in Belgium, Mr C’s Super Freq in France and even secret warehouse parties in Berlin and Frankfurt.
The music on offer is written produced then performed live by the man himself, using a classic Roland 909, synths, samplers and FX alongside trusty old Ableton. He effortlessly takes the audience on an intense journey through deep driving house and techno. Saytek’s trademark sound is soulful , intellectually pleasing and timeless whilst being aimed squarely at the peak time dance floor.
The “Saytek Reworked” Album features edits and remixes taken from his live show and is out now on Cubism, supported by Luciano, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Claude Von Stroke, Carl Cox, Tim Green, Derrick May, 2000 and One, Anthony Collins, Solomun and Nic Fanciulli and many other tastemakers. The album was released on Cubism Records at the start of this summer and immediately made a huge impact with Saytek being booked all over Europe adding to an already packed schedule! He is doing a number of dates with Cubism as part of the tour for this album which is taking in clubs across the UK culminating in something rather special towards the end of the year! ;)
He will perform his live improvised hardware show on the night alongside two very special guests with Raymundo Rodriguez returning to Cubism this time bringing production partner and Black & White Orange Records' boss Philipp Ort. Aside from being one of the most in demand DJs in London, the studio work Raymundo Rodriguez is doing with Philipp Ort has been creating some absolute dance floor gems. They appeared on Cubism Records earlier this year remixing Saytek's 'Bio-Degradable' which appears on the Reworked album and we are looking forward to their remix of Ryan Thompson & James Dutton's 'The Fine Line' and original material released on the label later this year. This is also an exclusive as the pair will be playing back to back at Cubism for the first time!
Evasive Records will be hosting the terrace at Cargo on the afternoon of Saturday August 13th from 3pm till 10.30pm when Cubism takes over in the main room. Rob Pearson, Kirsten Sees, Tempo O'Neil and Simon Stone are on hand to provide a perfect alfresco party in the sunshine!
