Gugu (DVA Music)
Jorn Liefdeshuis (Closer / Off Centre)
Styx (Audio Culture)
Mike Engine (Audio Culture)
No rest for the wicked.
Fresh from our 1 year anniversary at Trouw we're already back at Club Up for the next installment of Audio Culture.
We're very pleased to host the debut Amsterdam sets of two UK up and comers along side two of Amsterdam's finest!
Hailing from Manchester, Sam Walton's debut release arrived earlier this year courtesy of non other than Kode 9's widely revered Hyerdub label.
Not a bad home for your first record! Combining elements from House, Grime and farther afield you can be sure to expect something very special from this man's set!
GUGU [DVA Music]
Joining Walton on the trip over to Amsterdam is another Manchester based up and comer. With releases on Scratcha DVA's label, Gugu sound touches on classic French House and 90's Garage.
Expect the unexpected as you could as easily be hit with a set as smooth house as with proper Funky rollers.
JORN LIEFDESHUIS [Closer | Off Centre]
Jorn is the driving force behind the Melkweg's 'Closer' nights and the one of the most on-point DJ's when it comes to supporting forward thinking electronic music. Fresh from a triumphant set along side the likes of Apparat and Modeselektor, we expect Jorn will ease you out of that post ADE and pre winter slump.
You may not have heard of Mattikk before but he's definitely one to watch. Recently appearing at Melkweg's Closer the talented DJ explores the boundaries between techno house and dubstep.
