Majik Entertainment is proud to present Cosmic Gate 'Wake Your Mind' album tour, concert show at Festival Hall Thursday 5th of April. Playing a 4 hour marathon set and also featuring live performances by the one and only Emma Hewitt & Alana Aldea.
2011 has proved to be another extraordinary musical year in the lives of Cosmic Gate. It's already brought the release of their early years retro-refit album Back 2 The Future - singles from which took up residence in Beatport's Top 10 for an unprecedented 3 straight months. They've also delivered their hugely received Essential Mix debut for BBC Radio 1 and have already brought the C.G. experience to close to a 100 clubs, arenas and festivals around the world.
Now - saving their biggest and best till last - they're about to crown the year with the release of their new artist album. Nic says: "Wake Your Mind is our collective call-out to the EDM universe. We want this album to shake up people's conceptions of our music..." "And blow the lingering, out-dated misconceptions to pieces!" adds Bossi.
Cosmic Gate have released 4 artist albums, 28 singles and 46 remixes, 4 Back 2 Back mix-compilations, a 1000+ international gigs played and clubbers, numbered in their millions, thrilled ... all from one chance meeting in a record label office. Nic and Bossi's Cosmic Gate's partnership has proved to be one of electronic dance music's most successful, and one of its most enduring. Creating a perfect in-studio/behind-the-decks storm, 10 years into their career they became the highest-climbers on DJ Mag's 2009 Top 100 chart and landed back amongst the 25 biggest DJs in the world the following year. Powered by their hugely received albums, club-rocking singles (inc. 'Not Enough Time', 'Body of Conflict', 'Analog Feel' and 'F.A.V.') and scene-defining classics 'Fire Wire' and 'Exploration of Space' their space in EDM's hall of fame has been secured.
The ascent of Australian born vocalist/songwriter Emma Hewitt began in 2007 when she crashed onto the international dance scene as co-writer and featured vocalist on the Chris Lake U.S Billboard #1 (Hot Dance Airplay) smash hit, Carry Me Away.
Carry Me Away was premiered by seminal tastemaker Pete Tong on BBC’s legendary Radio 1 and went on to become a dance floor classic worldwide spending over 50 weeks in the U.S Billboard Dance Airplay Chart where it knocked Britney Spears’ “Toxic” off the #1 position in December 2007. The track was a mainstream Top 10 hit in Spain and Norway and peaked at #2 on the UK Club Charts receiving massive support from the DJ elite including trance heavyweights Armin Van Buuren (DJ Mag World #1 DJ) and Tiesto who proclaimed Carry Me Away to be “THE song of the summer” in 2007.
“Waiting” was a radio smash in Germany, Belgium and Mexico and was voted the #2 track of 2009 on Armin Van Buuren’s illustrious A State Of Trance Annual Countdown paving the way for dance giant Armada Music to sign the rights to Emma’s debut artist album.
