A true pioneer of the Radio One dance music movement, Seb has it made, fronting high-profile gigs in all four corners of the globe.
Seb Fontaine is one of the most recognized DJs on the international club scene. Through his high-profile and long-standing residencies, radio shows and compilation CDs, Seb has been at the forefront of his career for many years and continues to showcase his electronic house grooves at high-profile gigs around the world.
Seb Fontaine has hosted Type @ The Cross – a long-standing monthly night that was considered one of London’s best nights during its eight year tenure. Since the closure of The Cross, Seb has continued to play shows throughout the world and is now as happy playing to the glitterati in Monaco as he is rocking underground dance floors.
On the production front, Seb is about to re-launch his Mono Type label and has been extremely busy in the studio for the past several months. He recently reached #1 on the Cool Cuts and Buzz Chart with Need To Feel Loved under his Reflekt alias. Originally released on Positiva in 2004 and produced by Seb Fontaine and Julian Peake, Need To Feel Love was a massive international success after being featured on the award-winning movie It’s All Gone Pete Tong in 2005. Moreover, Seb’s label has released a number of his own productions such as Do The Do, Gimme More and Shine, and will continue to do so as he expands his ever-growing repertoire.
After discovering house music, Seb progressed through a number of high profile residencies at clubs such as the Hanover Grand, Ministry Of Sound and Cream. With these residencies came the opportunity to work with Kiss FM and later Radio One – where he presented a weekly Saturday night show to a worldwide audience. As an elite international DJ, Seb has also mixed a number of best-selling compilation albums for Global Underground (Prototype), Ministry Of Sound, Cream and Positiva.
Seb Fontaine has been at the pinnacle of the dance scene for over fifteen years and maintains his status as one of the world’s best DJs. With the continuation of his international DJ schedule and a high-profile gaining massive support, 2012 looks to be another successful year for this world-beating DJ and producer.
He started to play in the Turnmills thanks to his father, who bought this club in 1985. However, he soon showed everybody what he was able to do with 2 vinyls in the "after" sessions of such legendary club. Since then, he doesn't stop: he had a residency in Zap, London's Gardening Club... and many other. In fact, by now he has played in the main locations of USA, Canada, Australia, Brasil or Ibiza.
In the studio, Paul Newman (his real name) published his very first album in
'92, a white label called "Love Rush", which has reedited one year later by Hooj Choons. With Red Jerry (foundator of this label) created together "Rok Da House", a number 11 in the elite top dance charts in England, after being reedited by VC in 1997.
As a producer, he worked in Camisra's "Let me show you", which was the #5in charts. After that, he was overasked to remix: Duran Duran, Nalin & Kane, Bizarre Inc, Dina Carrol and Blondie were only a few names.
As it was a natural evoltion, he started his own label "Duty Free", which uses to publish Paul's tracks as well as Robbie Rivera, Dj Lottie and Dave Aude ones.
Few veterans within electronic music boast the widespread appeal, respect, list of accolades and aliases as DJ and producer Andy Galea. Considered by many to be a master of the craft across various forms of house music, 2012 is shaping up to be a promising year for Galea with many exciting projects, collaborations and new releases in the pipeline. His position as head of A&R for Strictly Rhythm / Ikonik is indicative of his ear for a tune and with over 20 years’ experience in production, remixing and performing all over the world, it is no secret that Galea is a true legend within the scene
