Two & Four is a brand new project showcasing the best in deep and underground house. As a series of one off events spread around the capital, Two & Four will be combining up and coming local talent with a host of headline acts representing the spectrum of quality house music. Brought to you by the same people who were previously behind the Dim Sum parties and who have worked with a stellar list of promoters, venues and festivals such as ‘Lock and Load’, Bloom, Jamm Brixton, The Coronet, Turnmills and more, they recognize the importance of matching quality events and fun factor in equal measure.
In conjunction with Digital City and Vague, the launch will bring together house music fans for a day of cutting edge electronic music on the River Thames. Party loving people will enjoy the sights of London as can only be experienced from a boat, whilst being aurally immersed in a soundtrack provided by Inxec, DJ B:D, Jon&Leon, Ollie Rigg and Salon K featuring BiTa.
Headlining the bill on the day will be INXEC who over the past 5 years has been carving out a reputation as one of the most innovative producers in house and techno. With his tracks getting hammered by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Luciano and many more, it’s not hard to see why INXEC is in such high demand both in the studio and behind the decks. After his early years producing prog edged house under the Sound Alliance guise, by 2009 Chris’s production talents were picked up by the world’s biggest techno label Cocoon, which has helped catapult the Inxec name into the upper stratosphere of the house and techno community. During the last 4 years Chris’s constant dj gigs and touring has seen him play some of the world’s most prestigious clubs including Fabric, The Cross, London, Watergate Berlin, Minimal Hospital in Italy, as well as a much lauded residency at Harry Klein in Munich, which sees him grace the decks at least once a month where touring permits. With more hit releases and remixes on their way as well as tour of the USA, it’s clear that INXEC’s star is firmly in the ascendance.
In support are purveyors of quality underground house music, Leon Clarkson & Jon Bengry: two minds with the same obsession for electronic beats and a relentless passion which is seeing them steadily climb the long musical ladder. After meeting in 2008 at Pointblank Music College, they were unaware of the journey they would embark on together two years on. Sharing a love for all sounds electronic, and carefully learning each other’s skills in production and DJ’ing, the natural progression turned to developing an Club night that conveyed what they both believe in. That brand is ‘Vague’ and has now been launched to the masses with nights already featuring talent such as Matthew Styles, Saytek Live and Tomoki Tamura.
Ollie Rigg will be kicking off proceedings with style. Ollie is a DJ that gets around town. You can find him DJing at events such as Oonst, About the Beat, Troublevision, Jamm and Bolton’s Got Talent. That’s because his unstoppable energy behind the decks is incredibly infectious and his ability as a selector is unparalleled. Boyed from his recent slots supporting the likes of Jay Shepheard, Wbeeza and others, expect a lot of fun, energy and hands in the moments from this incredible force of a DJ.
Last but not least there’ll be Salon K. Bonding over a mutual appreciation of quality electronic music, Nick and Jaymin formed the DJ/production duo Salon K in 2008. An all round love of dance music originally featured in their sets as could be heard at their now infamous Dim Sum parties in East London. Without losing their eclectic tastes they eventually refined their sound to focus on the deeper sides of house and techno.
Anyone who has attended a boat party such as this can attest to the fact that they’re an absolute blast. And this will be no different. Join the celebrations and get in on the first of what is bound to be a remarkable series of events.
