Salute to those who came to the last secret shindig with Brennan Green – a superb party with a packed to the rafters dance floor, all night long.
Venue will be revealed to ticket holders near to the day of the party. Remember, these parties have a strictly limited capacity – word to the wise: previous Mark Seven parties in larger venues have been very popular.
UK born, Stockholm based, Mark is one of the most highly regarded DJs and producers in leftfield dance music today. As well as his ongoing obligations as head honcho of supreme online record store, Jus’wax and being a crate-digger extraordinaire, Mark continues to release impeccable productions and remixes for main players on the scene. His latest work of art, Working Girl, under the Parkway Rhythm label was received by a rapturous audience. From his DJ sets to his productions, Mark’s varied work as an artist is bound together by his ability to create truly original work that pushes boundaries whilst respectfully referencing the past. This is never more evident than in the highly acclaimed, flawless mixes – ‘A Salute to the Men of Vauxhall’ and its follow up – ‘Salute 2 – Reach Out and Touch Your Dream’. Already timeless classic selections, both are a joyous tribute to the sounds of the pioneering US underground gay discos of the 70’s and 80’s.
Mark is often revered as the DJ’s DJ, with the mere mention of his name causing beard strokers to salivate wildly, talk in tongues and send Discogs to work crazy overtime. However it would be a disservice to make him sound elitist – his focus on a groove appeals to a broad audience, and his ability to fuse together music across a range of genres succeeds in keeping the dance floor captivated, essentially what every party wants.
No stranger to the underground scene, Mark’s involvement in the dance scene dates back to the late 80s when he promoted parties such as ‘Bizarre’ on the fledgling Balearic scene, in addition to being a regular at ‘Shoom’, organised by one of his early heroes, Danny Rampling. In recent years, Mark has co-promoted ‘The Lodge’ and NY Social parties where he has introduced the likes of Prins Thomas & Phil Mison to the US scene.
We’re delighted to be bringing him back to Manchester . Seriously, don’t miss out on this party – check his mixes – incredible every one of ‘em:
