Loop 4th Birthday. Halloween Saturday
The past 4 months have been a blast! From our launch party at Legends to our most recent at theCUT, each month has been one to remember! Big up Christophe & Lukas for wrecking theCUT, literally!
However, us at Nocturnal Playground thought we'd say thank you for all your continued support and give you all a little treat for our end of year party with two MASSIVE Newcastle debuts...
Franck has been a great ambassador for the true meaning of French house music, from his productions that stretch back more than ten years, through to his own record label Real Tone. Having started out producing direct, peak-time vocal cuts, Franck’s dedication to his art has seen his music evolve across an ever-widening panorama of moods and feelings, sound sources and production methods. Enormous release's like his 'After All' EP which dropped last October, to his recent collaboration with Maya Jane Coles, has gained him respect from some of the world's greatest artists. Deep house god, Kerri Chandler has even claimed Franck to be one of the world's best DJ's and producers around today! We can't wait to have him in for his Newcastle debut.
For our second Newcastle debut - we welcome Maxxi Soundsystem, yet another amazing artist from the record label, Futureboogie. Last year Maxxi's epic reinvention of Alexander O’Neals ‘Criticize’ received strong support from Annie Mac, sending dance-floors through a joyride of electrofunk, classic house and 80s pop. He has recently spent the summer playing the likes of Glastonbury, We Love Space, Creamfields and more. His follow up single ‘Open Your Eyes’ under Hot Creations sublabel, Hot Waves and his recent EP on Needwant Records has seen huge support from world-class artists such as, Maceo Plex, Danny Daze, Tensnake, Sasha and Tiefschwarz. His most recent bomb, 'Shopping Cart' blew people away and even reached the #1 spot on Beatport. This is another act we are absolutely buzzing to have step up to the the Nocturnal decks.
