What’s happening people ☺
We would first like to thank everyone who came to our last sell out party where we had Clive Henry spinning for us, Check out the pictures on our fan page to see what you missed out on.
We may have been off the radar for a few weeks but we have been busy planning some HUGE and very exiting events for later in the year. To make it easier to stay up to date with all that we’ve got going on we will be starting a newsletter with all our information on future events, DJ mixes and latest releases so sign up to awakelondon.com so that we can keep you posted.
We would also like to congratulate awake residents Benjamin Cain & Dirty Filthy Soul for having their tune played by Alexis Raphael at Ministry Of Sound. Check out the sneak peak video
We have recently had a lot of request from friends and fellow ravers to hold a party on a Saturday night, And although we are usually a Sunday night after party, This time we thought we would show some love to all the people who have not been able to come out and party with us on our Sunday nights.
On Saturday the 23rd June @ The C.A.M.P. 70-74 City Road (off Old Street Roundabout) from 9pm-6am we will be hosting our fifth awake party. We have a VERY special guest DJ that we have flown in from Germany for your listening pleasure. He is an awake favorite and we have been waiting to have him spin for us for a while now. The Deep house legend GORGE will be dropping the absolute best in all things deep and grooving.
Gorge has been a musician, deejay and producer for more then 18 years producer. Co running 8bit records together with his partner Nick Curly and his second imprint Katchuli records his labels received worldwide credibility over the last years and the so called the "Mannheim sound" changed the minimal trend back to deep groovy house music. Throughout the years Gorge was releasing a lot of club friendly deep house music on high rated labels like Freerange, Objectivity, Diynamic, Systematic or Brise (only to name some of them) which all received highest positions in Beatport and Decks charts. At least he was nominated to be one of the top 5 Bestport deephouse and techhouse artists in 2010. He became one of the most frequented remixers and did around 40 over the last couple of years. All of them reached highest chart positions as well made him Nr. 8 in the most charted all time artists on Resident advisor. His first album "Mood" was released 2010 and gained best reviews showing his talent in producing timeless deep house music as well as club friendly house tracks. Over the last years Gorge built a high reputation as a dj all over the world and played in the most known clubs such as Watergate (Berlin, Rex (Paris), DEdge (Sao Paulo), Cielo (NYC), Space, Zoo Project (Ibiza), Electric Pickle (Miami), Cargo (London) only to name some of them.
Prices on the night will be £5 before 10pm and more after so please arrive early and sign up to our newsletter at awakelondon.com for more surprises.
