With the onset of grey skies, longer nights and the chill of winter just around the corner, we welcome autumn with sentiments of melancholia and wistful nostalgia as we prepare for the next edition of REMEDY. To warm us with a LIVE set amidst this, we are pleased to bring you a very special headliner, RECONDITE to the next REMEDY this November. Recondite's expansive melodies and deep live sets echo a sense of melancholic reflection, emphasizing the lush abundance of the season.
Long time collector of music, Recondite had his first experience with drum machines and hardware synths six years ago in a small studio next to the forest in lower Bavaria. Two years later he moved to Berlin to build up Plangent Records, where Recondite rapidly established his name. Plangent #001 was well received, and with three EPs released in 2011, Recondite comes with Hotflush Scuba’s stamp of approval. Fans of all genres can appreciate his album On Acid from Acid Test/Absurd Recordings. With its stripped down and sensual approach to deep house, its innovative and natural exploration of “acid” has been most welcome and appreciated.
By the end of this year there will be Plangent #005 of remixes from Scuba, RNDM, and Kassian Troyer of Dial Records. In 2013 we can expect a Recondite EP on Other Heights, followed by another one on Dystopian and on Midnight Shift. And of course, another Plangent EP from Recondite. With a release of his new soothingly downtrodden techno album On Acid on Absurd Recordings, and remixes of Paul Rose's aka Scuba's stadium-sized techno single called Hope on Hotflush Recordings, Recondite's future is looking very bright in today's electronic music industry.
We are looking forward to seeing you this Saturday night for this amazing live act. As always, Maroje and Jen will be there to get the night started.
