Barker & Baumecker (live)
Loco Dice's heralded Desolat label arrives back in Farringdon at large on the 17th November, marking five years of dancefloor vigour and conviction. The much lauded label host arrives after a year of relentless touring with a fresh collection of brand new tracks on his Toxic EP – out later this month. There’s probably no better way to welcome Dice back to the fray than with the rest of his label family all under the same roof so Argentian producer Guti, who released his killer artist album of organic jazz textures and Latin house rhythms, Patio de Juegos, on Desolat last year joins Berlin spinstress, tINI and Hector, who’s dance floor-destroying tracks on Crosstown Rebels, Tsuba and One Records have earned him cult status across London’s underground circuit and well beyond in Room One.
Those Scottish godfathers of techno, Slam, land back in Room Two for the first time since May. With all the experience their heart-pounding twenty one years of existence on the Soma label has given them they’ll be joining Barker & Baumecker, a duo coupled closely to Berghain, who’ll be performing a live show of industrial techno following from their debut collaboration album, Transsektoral, which was released this September on Ostgut Ton.
Our resident Terry Francis unites with long time compatriot Eddie Richards to host their DEMO party banner up in Room Three inviting special guest, Alex Niggemann, who’s well known in Berlin’s burgeoning underground club scene, notably with his appearance on Steve Bug’s Poker Flat imprint where he released his debut album, Paranoid Funk, earlier this year.
