Ray Mang - UK DJ/ Producer / Remixer and all-round studio boffin, Ray Mang released his first 12' on the Idjut Boys Noid Recordings back in 96, gaining widespread support in the clubs and on compilations. He soon set up his own record label 'Mangled' unleashing a slew of highly collectable 12" releases. Two albums followed 'Mangled' on Eskimo Recordings and later 'Mangled Again' on his own imprint along with singles on R & S, Bear Funk & Smash Hit. Recently his release on DFA saw him offer P-Funk with a Disco House twist made for the dance floor (Bullet Proof feat the brilliant Lady Miss Kier) and a blissed out Balearic gem ('Look Into My Eyes' which featured on the Ministry Underground Disco Compilation). Add to this a list of other projects / collaborations through the years (including Block 16 and Motif for seminal 90's UK label Nuphonic Records, as Laj with the Idjut Boys on U-Star or Quakerman on their own Fiasco imprint) along with some close musical acquaintances (The Glimmers, Foolish Felix, Lee Tong, Nathan D'Troit) and you have one of the most prolific contributors to the Boogie/Disco/House scene.Recent gigs include London, Manchester, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kiev, Amsterdam, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, Berlin, Istanbul, Munich, Parma, Bucharest and Paris.
Simon Lee (Face Action) - Faze Action are the UK band founded by Simon and Robin Lee who are hugely influential in the development and popularity of the current nu disco sound. Faze launched into the scene in the mid nineties, with the now classic “In The Trees” track on the groundbreaking Nuphonic label. Other highlights include a residency in Japan, directing a Philharmonic Orchestra to play Salsoul classics, followed by 4 album releases, including the recent critically acclaimed “Stratus Energy”, as well as touring duties playing live at Glastonbury and supporting Groove Armada and fitting in a non stop DJ schedule that has seen them perform all over the world.
Farley n Heller - Although prominent house DJs and producers individually, London-based remixers Terry Farley and Pete Heller enjoyed their greatest notoriety working as a duo. They first surfaced in the early ’90s as part of the Boys Own collective with Andrew Weatherall, making their debut with a hugely popular remix of the Farm’s Groovy Train; hits for Espiritu ‘Francisca’, Sunscreem ‘Perfect Motion’, K Klass ‘Don’t Stop’ and Secret Life ‘As Always’ followed. Farley and Heller also earned wide renown when their mix of M People’s ‘Open Your Heart’ topped Billboard’s club charts in 1995. A year later they reunited to assemble a two-disc entry into the Journeys by DJs beatmix series, with their own ‘Ultra Flava’ 12-inch appearing at much the same time. In addition to working under the own names, Farley and Heller additionally recorded as Roach Motel, an outlet for their more underground projects; they also joined producer Gary Wilkinson in the lush garage techno trio Fire Island, as well as teaming with Weatherall and Hugo Nicholson in Bocca Juniors. Their other pop remix projects include work with U2, New Order, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Kylie and Pet Shop Boys.
