Tim Goldsworthy (DFA)
Tim Sweeney (DFA/Beats in Space)
To continue the successful launch of their new bi-monthly residency at East Village, Warm have yet again pulled out all the stops to invite a host of guests who will get you dancing like its…well, 2008.
In the basement Ali Tillett welcomes the legendary producer Tim Goldsworthy, who joins him from New York. Co-founder of James Lavelle’s Mo’ Wax Label and joint owner of DFA Records, this man is no stranger to the world’s dance floors. From last year’s hugely successful ‘Sound of Silver’ by LCD Sound System to more recent projects with Cut Copy, Tim Goldsworthy has proved he is a man with a midas touch when it comes to the production desk.
Joining Mr Goldsworthy is another noteworthy Tim. Tim Sweeney. Tim has attracted a strong international following via his genre-sweeping radio show Beats in Space. His career begun as an intern with Steinski and by in 2002 he was opening for DJ Shadow. After hearing one of his mixes Tim Goldsworthy and James Murphy invited Tim to intern at their Plantain studios. Since then his work with DFA has led to him to collaborate with Tim Goldsworthy on both DFA’s Compilation # 2 mix and the DFA Holiday Mix 2005.
On the ground floor Warm Resident Rob Summerhayes is joined by Skull Juice. Alex Egan and Benedict Bull (aka Skull Juice) have gained a solid reputation over the past two years playing at some of the hottest nights in town. From their own Walk The Night to guest slots at Trash (RIP), Durrr, Bloggers Delight and Bugged Out they never fail to light up the dance floor. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
