2 of London’s newest additions come together in one of the capital’s most revered venues to bring you a selection of the finest established and emerging talent Berlin has to offer.
After a massive launch event with Mano Le Tough, Clockwork, Mind Against and Job Jobse, We Concur return alongside Avant Garde who have had a very busy summer including hosting the infamous Temple Of Boom stage at Secret Garden Party with Guy Gerber, Blond:ish, Thugfucker and Konrad Black. The unity of these two young brands can only mean good news and we’re delighted to be bringing 2 carefully programmed rooms of music to Corsica Studios.
* Matthias Meyer
Our headliner is Liebe*Detail staple and Watergate favourite Matthias Meyer. Having a steady output of records since his first release on Liebe*Detail back in 2005, Meyer has a reputation of producing a highly refined style of house and techno – never rushed and always giving each production as much time as it needs. His recent releases ‘November Rain’ and ‘Becuz’ on the highly respected Watergate have been heavily supported by the scenes biggest names. We can’t wait to hear this master live as he plays an extended 3 hour set in the main room.
* Matthew Dekay
Matthew Dekay is name that is synonymous with house and techno. The Dutchman first appeared on the scene back in 2001 on OneStar Recordings and over the last 13 years has established himself as something of an enigma. His musical relationship with Lee Burridge and their label and party series All Day I Dream have become stuff of legend. Recent outings on Innervisions, Maeve and his own imprint Fur Die Liebe have demonstrated his ability to stay at the very forefront of the scene.
* Baikal & The Drifter
Finally we have Baikal and The Drifter. Both now Berlin based, the pair have seen a fast rise in the underground scene over the last 2 years. With releases on labels such as Innervisions, Permanent Vacation and The Drifters’s own imprint Maeve, it’s no surprise to see the two being supported by industry heavyweights Tale Of Us, Dixon, fellow Maeve label boss Mano Le Tough and many others.
Qash opens the proceedings in room 1 on the night. Her inaugural podcast for the We
Concur mix series is a must-listen and if you have ever made it down to one of her Contender nights you’ll quickly understand why the We Concur resident is on warm up duties.
