secretsundaze are very proud to announce details of our Easter Thursday event at The Coronet Theatre in Elephant and Castle. For what is always one of the biggest party weekends of the year secretsundaze have pulled something very special out of the bag, having been approached by Innervisions to host the UK debut show of 'A Critical Mass.'
Two years in the pipeline after discussions in the studio, offices, on planes, in hotels and in the streets, Ame, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz' much whispered about live project finally saw the light of day in 2008 at Popkomm in Berlin and ADE in Amsterdam. After two hugely successful shows and a string of worldwide dates planned throughout 2009 the live project 'A Critical Mass' hits London in April. Together the live set-up sees all key members of the Innervisions crew - Ame (Kristian & Frank), Dixon and Henrik Schwarz play live together on Ableton Live with their unique Innervisions versions of stone cold classics, as well as their own twists on key Innervisions releases and remixes from the vaults! As ever, our trusty residents Giles Smith and James Priestley will be in support and the art deco auditorium at The Coronet provides the perfect grandiose setting for this show.
Also joining us for this special occasion hosting Room 2 are the mighty Horse Meat Disco. From their base in Vauxhall the boys have taken the world by storm with their colourful, fun and tongue in cheek attitude coupled with their impeccable Disco credentials. Now their reputation looks to strengthen with their new record label of the same name. Joining the HMD boys is none other than Daniele Baldelli. Resident at the infamous Baia de Angeli Club and Cosmic clubs during the 70s, alongside his cohort Mozart, he pretty much single-handedly developed the genre that we have lovingly come to know as 'Cosmic Disco', which of course has seen a massive resurgence in recent years. Compared to his American counterparts, Danielle is the true unsung hero of Dance music and is a massive coup and honour for us to play host to on this special date.
We’re also very pleased to announce that we are partnering with our good friends at Ableton for this very special event. Renowned for their unique brand of intuitive music software, Ableton Live, they are widely credited with revolutionising electronic music production. Innervisions’ Dixon, Ame and Henrik Schwarz will be hosting an exclusive Ableton Live workshop before the show at 10pm, looking at the brand-new, ultra-fresh versions of the software: Ableton Live 8 and Ableton Suite 8. This is an amazing opportunity to look at how these talented artists make and perform their music and a great chance to get a good look at the new Ableton software.
A Critical Mass is without doubt one of the most hotly anticipated shows in House and Techno to check in 2009. Ame, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz, all stars in their own right, yet as Critical Mass becoming something greater than the sum of the parts. Do not miss this opportunity to catch their debut live show in the UK. With London's finest secretsundaze and Horse Meat Disco at the helm this really is an unmissable party.
