Puto Márcio (Principe Discos)
anu (Rhythm Section / Equaliser)
Cervo & JVC (Banana Hill)
After a warm welcome to London (thanks for that!), we continue our little residency at The Yard with another rising talent - this time from streets of Lisbon.
Portuguese producer Puto Márcio (Tia Maria Produções) plays only his second ever UK show, bringing the essence of pioneering label and club night Príncipe, and the so-called "ghetto sound of Lisbon" from the housing projects outside the capital.
He is joined by BH residents Cervo & JVC, plus London-based DJ and illustrator anu, who runs online music magazine Equaliser, and is heavily involved in Rhythm Section happenings.
Pure body music, the Principe style represents a coming together of a wealth of different influences, with heavy roots in kuduro & afro house, but also batida, kizomba, funaná, batucada, house, and tarraxinha.
