In the heart of winter, it’s back for a double whammy. Peacock Society adds an extra night to its now traditional Winter edition with :
Living legends such as LARRY HEARD, father of Chicago house, author of the seminal ‘Can You Feel It?’ EP in 1986 and not seen in France since almost ten years...but also MODESELEKTOR whose electronic chaos has since conquered the world.
Current icons such as BEN KLOCK, master of the Berghain monster in Berlin, the nutty SETH TROXLER and the rare OMAR S, from Detroit.
Playing back to back, duo ÂME, from the clan of the few DJs able to alternate between light and dark within deep house.
An explosive new generation such as PAULA TEMPLE and her rough and uncompromising techno, just a few steps removed from hardcore, and that of Nina Kraviz protégé BJARKI, with rounder edges, early 90’s style.... Or, in a radically different style, Dusseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs resident LENA WILLIKENS’, a scholar of ecclectic avant-garde as well as the minimal and modernist funk of the elusive FATIMA YAMAHA, best alias in the world imagined by Dutch producer Bas Bron.
And to accompany the undeniable rise of an ultra creative French scene: AMATO, the new electro-wave project by one of its pioneers, THE HACKER; ROMAN PONCET aka Traumer, celebrated abroad but still discreet over here; THE PILOTWINGS, Lyon’s hidden treasure, on its way to glory; the gritty and lo-fi sound of SIMO CELL, new house prodigy and the very chilled mixing of BEN ENTENDEUR, but also pals from the CRACKI SOUNDSYSTEM collective.
