If you were lucky enough to be one of the thousands of people that squeezed into matter for our heart-shaped launch on Valentine's Day - you will know how lucky you were. Matter hadn't seen anything quite like it. Neither had we. A club filled to the brim with the kinkiest and sexiest clubbers imaginable, all dancing to some of the biggest names in house music, and under one exploding and ready to erupt roof!
So, how do we top something of that scale and magnitude? Read on....
This coming month of June will signal the start of the Kinky Malinki Summer. A period of the year where people dress less, where we give in to temptation and where things start to hotten up. It's where we bring out the big guns, each and every time. These are KM's Headliners.....
At matter this June, we have assembled a line-up that is truly sizzling; for not only have we bought back our superstar, legendary resident, Kid Massive, but we also have a few other aces in our pack of Kinky cards.
Feast your eyes on Kurd Maverick, Seamus Haji and the Audiowhores.....
Cihan Oetuen is better known in our circles as "Kurd Maverick"; a Germany-based house music producer who first rose to fame with his legendary remake of "Pump Up The Jam" (by former KM's headliners, D.O.N.S). It wasn't long after the success of that hit before the next big one. "The Rub" found inspiration in Paris but delivered the much-admired deep, throbbing bassline that clubland was crying out for. "The Rub" became instantly addictive, was snapped up by Cr2 Records and immediately became Essential New Tune on Pete Tong's show - a week after it had caused total chaos on the dancefloors of clubs during Miam's WMC. If this wasn't enough, the second biggest track at Miami had been yet another Maverick mix. His tweeking of "Love Sensation" was also the following week's Essential New Tune on Tong's show - the first time any producer has managed to achieve such a feat consecutively. He has remixed music artists spanning from Robbie Williams to Basement Jaxx. In the clubbing world everyone from Bob Sinclar and Erick Morillo to Steve Mac and Full Intention have fallen under his spell. Kurd plies his trade all over the world from Brazil to Dubai and Paris to London - the latter being the city where Kurd will next be seen creating his own sound for the kinkiest sound system at matter. Let him entertain you....
Seamus Haji is one of house music's most iconic and currently innovative men. Along with his wife, he played a signficant part in the set-up of Defected Records - house music's biggest record label. Since its inception 10 years ago, Seamus parted company and set up his own record label, Big Love Records. He is also credited for pioneering the now universally acknowledged ‘electro house’ sound. His international smash hits include 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life', 'Boogie 2Nite' and 'Take Me Away'. The releases on Big Love continue to go from strength-to-strength with contributions from Axwell, Paul Harris, ATFC and Cevin Fisher to name a few. Seamus’ own recent commercial projects have had him continuing to work with some of the biggest artists in the music industry including remixes for Rihanna, Just Jack, Roisin Murphy, Moby, Mariah Carey and current chart-toppers, The Ting Tings. If you're lucky he MIGHT just save your life....
The Audiowhores are the acclaimed Manchester-based DJ, remix and production duo of Graham Lord and Adam Unsworth. Their high-quality production and remix work for labels including Soulfuric, MN2S, Peppermint Jam and their own Tempogroove imprint has positioned them at the forefront of the UK's house scene. Similarly, their versatile and technically-brilliant DJ sets which incorporate everything from deep and soulful sounds to tougher and chunkier beats, have won the pair thousands of fans and a number of accolades worldwide. Remixes for Conney Harvey, The Sunburst Band, Ce Ce Peniston and Loletta Holloway have followed for labels including Peppermint Jam, Z Records and Knee Deep USA. In between busy production and remix work, Audiowhores maintain a busy DJ schedule. In addition to rocking crowds in their home town of Manchester, Audiowhores have brought the house down at some of the finest clubs in the UK including Pacha London and Gatecrasher. Further afield, the pair has taken their sound to clubs across Europe, including stops in Switzerland, Germany, Ibiza, Austria, Estonia and Holland, then further afield in the USA, Asia and Australia!!!
So, with our headliners firmly in place, our legendary residents ready and matter begging to be taken advantage of yet again - the Kinkiest Madame in house music is here at the door and awaits your arrival.....
