Detroit Swindle, Romare, Jasper James
After a long hiatus we are delighted to be returning to the mighty Hope Works in style! We’re bringing back our favourite purveyors of smooth grooves, Detroit Swindle, alongside the effortlessly eclectic Romare, and man-of-the-moment, Jasper James.
Heist Records bosses Lars and Maarten are a huge part of the Amsterdam electronic music scene, renowned for their crate digging, synth heavy house and high energy sets. Last time we had them in Sheffield it was one to remember!

We’re very excited to welcome Romare and his eclectic selections. He draws heavily from a wide range of African sounds, alongside Jazz, Blues, Disco and modern electronic influences. His albums Projections (2015), was voted album of the year by DJ Magazine and Love Songs: Part Two (2016) was equally well received. Whatever Romare does, it’s held together by his own unique aesthetic, a sonic signature which stamps everything he does as his and his alone. An original reaching the heights of his game following a month long residency at London’s Phonox, it’s time to listen…

Emerging from his roots as a leading tastemaker in Glasgow’s vibrant house scene and breaking away from his peers to become more than just a one-to-watch but a respected touring DJ in his own right. A DJ and producer with talent that stretches beyond his years, he’s crafted his own-brand of house and techno through DJ sets at some of the worlds most respected clubs like The Warehouse Project, Sub Club and Circoloco. With hotly awaited releases in the pipeline we’re confident JJ will the close the place with a bang.
