Huntleys + Palmers's tenth anniversary tour rolls into Kelvingrove Art Gallery with fun-loving DJ duo Talaboman.
Talaboman (John Talabot & Axel Boman)
Continuing events at the incredible setting of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and after a show with Vitalic that sold out in 48hrs, The Electric Frog teams up with Huntleys + Palmers to continue their 10th anniversary celebrations - a stones throw from where they first kicked things off, at the tiny Hetherington Research Club back in 2007. From lowly beginnings, H+P have went on to promote and release some of the most exciting and idiosyncratic artists operating within electronic music today - from Actress to Young Marco, and hundreds others in between - many of whom playing in the UK for the first time including Oni Ayhun, Helena Hauff, Lena Willikens and Veronica Vasicka.
In addition to the programming of a weekly residency at London's legendary Plastic People, H+P has also released debut records by the likes of Auntie Flo, SOPHIE, Mehmet Aslan and 2017 sees the likes of Dixon, Ivan Smagghe, Matthew Herbert and DJ Sotofett and Kornél Kovács join the label's output - alongside many emerging local artists through the carefully curated Clyde Built compilation series.
The colaboration of Electric Frog and Huntleys + Palmers presents another exciting collaboration - John Talabot and Axel Boman whose individual careers have taken off with highly acclaimed releases and award winning albums on their respective label's, Hivern Disc and Studio Barnhus, supporting The xx and DJ Koze and gaining enormous followings through their DJ sets at any festival and venue worth their salt. Somewhere along the way, the pair teamed up to form Talaboman, releasing a stonker of an album in The Night Land on R&S earlier this year, and headlining festivals ever since - including closing this year's Primavera. Having last played together in Glasgow for H+P's 7th birthday, we're delighted to bring them to such a grand setting and bring the decade of championing exciting music to a fitting close. We are honoured that one of Scotland's most iconic buildings is the venue for such a special show.
