Amidst an endless army of DJs, Laura Jones´ light shines bright through the underground. On first glance perhaps it´s her trademark orange sunglasses and presence that can beam a smile from behind a turntable to the other side of a festival. Or the fact that her first forays into production steam rollered her into the spotlight. The house and techno starlet strode into our lives in 2011 with Love In Me, a summer anthem that filled her diary for the year almost overnight. But Laura´s story didn´t just start with a big track. It began in the early 2000s buying vinyl like her life depended on it after discovering underground music at DC10 in Ibiza. Obsessed by the exploding minimal techno sound and the tough house being played at Leeds clubs like Back to Basics and Asylum, not even developing an eye condition that requires her to wear her special orange glasses to protect her deteriorating vision could prevent her from following her dream of becoming a globe trotting DJ.
After blasting onto the scene she was quickly taken under the wing of Circoloco and Fabric, the two clubs she´s become best known for plying her trade, and she became the first female resident of one of the world’s longest running club nights, Back To Basics in Leeds. Her measure as an artist doesn´t just stop at the DJ booth however. Since her debut hit she´s earned a reputation as a producer with depth and style thanks to timeless pieces aided by her lengthy classical training as a child. Her tracks EPs and compilation CD have found homes with labels such as Leftroom, Visionquest and Crosstown Rebels. As a remixer she has breathed new life into classics like Romanthony´s ´Let Me Show You Love, Hollis P Monroe´s ´I´m Lonely´ and Todd Terry´s Bounce to the Beat. ´In 2016 she’s launched her own label, Sensoramic, which featurs artists like Trevino and S.A.M. on remix duties alongside music by Laura and up and coming artists. In between the studio and the DJ booth Laura's unique stage presence is continuing to make her one of dance music´s most unforgettable discoveries.
UK DJ & Producer ATRIEA, real name Chloe, is no stranger when it comes to being behind the decks. Formally half of successful duo Toucán, she has played in some of the best clubs in the UK & Europe. After touring for 2 years, Chloe ventured off into a new solo tech-house project and started making music under new alias - ATRIEA.
Following this, she had tracks snapped up by the mighty Lost Records; her remix of Kevin Knapp & Sacha Robotti’s ‘Stay With It’ proved a success and sat in the Beatport Tech House Chart for weeks.
Known for her lively and energetic DJ sets it’s clear to see the passion ATRIEA has for music, and with signed records awaiting release later this year, she is certainly one to keep your eye on.
