LOBSTER THEREMIN SHOWCASE 2017
Very little is known about mysterious Amsterdam producer nthng, but those who have been enraptured by his hazy, emotive and driving productions have only touched the edge of a vast shrouded techno landscape.
Lobster Theremin label boss has had a huge rise since launching the Lobster imprint at the end of 2013, propelling a range of international newcomers and pushing forward the boundaries of alternative house and techno. In his own right, Asquith is uncompromising in style, fluid mixing and diverse range he always packs tons of unreleased material and a tight selection culled from his extended vinyl collection.
The Australian producer and DJ, known as Daze has moved from strength to strength through his crunchy brand of techno and electro in recent years. Beginning his journey on the much-hyped Lobster Theremin back in 2014 with his ‘Lips’ EP, he has since released two more EPs with the London-based label, as well as securing a release with DJ Haus’ UK powerhouse Unknown to the Unknown. This impressive set of releases has also created a demand for his fast-paced DJ sets in his native Australia, as well as at some of Europe’s most notorious clubs including Berlin’s Berghain, London’s Corsica Studios, and Georgia’s increasingly infamous Bassiani. If you like your dance music energetic, crunchy, and without pretentiousness, then this is not to be missed
////// DJ Heure
Out of the depths of deepest Adelaide radiates a bed-bound beacon of house music comfort. Twinkling, delay-drenched, heart-squeezing melodies drift and dance among pot & pan percussion lines, warm, tape-treated kicks and grumbling Oberheimer synth and bass meddlings. That bed-beach dweller and point of sunshine radiance is DJ Heure.
////// Lou Karsh (Live)
Raw live hardware sounds with a side of acid buzzin' and squelchin' is on the menu as per usual. Projecting off the lunar surface through the sulphuric atmos layers, and busting into the greater galaxy for explorations deemed unworthy by many.
