Oval Space residents DJ Nobu and Dr Rubinstein return on 24th November for their final shows of the year, with the two techno titans both playing extended sets.
Chiba techno royalty DJ Nobu has had a truly special year in Oval Space - joined by Abdulla Rashim, Shackleton, Robert Hood, as well as his compatriots Wata Igarashi and Haruka. In Japan, Nobu is most widely known for his fabled Future Terror parties, an event he’s run out of his hometown Chiba for over ten years. But it is as a DJ and record collector that Nobu is truly special. While most DJs lean on old favourites and the tried and trusted, Nobu’s selections speak to the wealth of music that remain undiscovered, and inspire us to keep digging deeper. He's joined by nu-skool techno favourite Dr. Rubinstein, who has graced Oval Space with the likes of DJ Stingray, Helena Hauff, Levon Vincent and Lena Willikens this year. This time round, Rubinstein plays one of her inimitable extended opening sessions, the perfect DJ to warm the floor for a night of bone-crunching techno from two Oval Space favourites.
Admission to Oval Space is at management's sole discretion, pre-purchased tickets do not guarantee entry. If entry is refused to a ticket holder you can obtain a full refund (minus booking fee) by contacting Oval Space after the event.
