★ S.A.S.H by Day ★
Well well well here we are again, another SASH Long weekend. Come October 1st, we welcome in Daylight Savings with a full 22 hours (and then some) of SASH by Day, Night and Breakfast. Summer is fast approaching and we’ve assembled motley bunch of groove setters, taste makers and hip shakers to ease and swoon you into the arduous journey to Monday’s lunch.
Northern beaches up-and-comer Charles will be laying down the foundations to our October party before passing the baton to Marley “Shermo” Sherman, who in turn will be paving the way for the Dutch top shelf-er, Malin Genie. Aaron “A.A Ron” Robins takes the courtyard to a close.
The Chapel caters on the dreamy and melodic tip, with Michelle Owen kick startin’ the side room and Foxlife residents Mesan taking the middle chunk. Jimmy Brûs (Biaaatch) takes The Chapel Home.
★ Malin Génie ★
Member of Mandar, Co Owner of Oscillat Music & owner of the label Vigenère; Malin Genie is a busy man. Originally from the Netherlands, now residing in France, the Dutchman is making his first appearance behind the decks in Sydney this coming long weekend. His “Sense of Swing” EP has done the rounds in the SASH office, and so we are very pleased to give him three hours in our favorite open air courtyard.

Our favourite French bloke Pepperpot has the honours of spinning the first record at SASH by Night, opening the infamous Lair. As Sydney’s official minister for Quality Control, you know it’s going to be good. Choccy milk ambassador Jake Hough is up next, followed by Cat Weir and then there are rumours of a B2B2B.
Moving up to another level of HOME, we once again open The Maze and The Box. Come 10pm the best name in the business, Daddy Smooth, brings the funk to the smoker friendly terrace. Sydney’s favourite ranga Tom Witheridge takes over from midnight and froth couple Garth Linton & Pip Dalton keep The Maze groovin’ till close. Across the bridge The Box caters for the darker techno sounds with a Bday set from INPUT’s Andres Andres. SI / LOW co-founder James Rogan will follow suit.
On the top level of the nightclub we see the new and improved Den booth take on it’s first long weekend. Loosenally begins the night’s progression with Brendan Pinilla making his 2nd outing of the year to continue the build. The blondest Ro-lord in all the lands, Tyson Bruun keeps it chuggin’ well into the early morning before unofficial breakfast residents Telefunken take us into our next edition of Brekky at SASH. Soundtracking the sunrise in the blue room is Sydney OG Simon Caldwell.
Now last but definitely not least, The Terrace hosts the big guns from the get-go. Sun Archive warms up the room for a couple before Diego Krause heats it up for a triple. What comes next will remain a secret till the day, but we can say that the red room is in for a proper 6 hour rinsing with our co-captain Kerry Wallace taking the glass room on a delightful journey up until midday…
★ Diego_Krause ★
Diego’s sound is influenced by funk and soul, garage and deephouse and everything
in between that is both underground and raw. He has taken his sounds all over Europe and beyond – playing at clubs like Watergate and About Blank. His DJ-sets are powered by driving basslines with a raw 90’s texture and a tech-ish approach while always retaining a groovy, jacking feeling.
★ Secret Guest ★
As always, we have one maybe two maybe three tricks up our sleeves. Best to get in early to solve this month’s SASH puzzle.
★ DJ Simon Caldwell ★
If you haven’t heard of Simon Caldwell by now then you probably aren’t quite the raver you think you are. The list of names Simon has supported in his 20-year-plus career is epic, to say the least. The Sydney don-selekky has been running Mad Racket with his famed racketeers hosting house and techno luminaries such as Fred P. AKA Black Jazz Consortium, SESSION VICTIM, The Black Madonna, Octave One and more. Simon will be in control of our newly pimped out blue room for our October edition of S.A.S.H Breakfast.
