DJ Craig Jamieson, Huw 72.
A night of Soul 'Togetherness' with your resident host DJ Craig Jamieson (Peckham Soul) and very special guests. Taking you on a dancefloor journey into the magical world of retro vinyl, expect the best in Northen Soul, Raregroove, Deep funk, classic Motown and more as we set the Soul SatNav to Boogieland!
Apologies for this folks, but contrary to prior listings and due to circumstances outside our control, both Romeo and Ren have had to reschedule their date. We hope to see them at Togetherness soon.
DJ Craig Jamieson
Craig’s box of vinyl magic has taken him far and wide. Having started the 'Modern Lovers' nights in Edinburgh while studying, the success of the nights meant that club dates broadened first to Glasgow, then London and Brighton, and then further afield to European residencies in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Moving to South East London 4 years ago, Craig set up the Peckham Soul label the following year. Inspired by diversity and creativity of SE15, both the Peckham Soul label and ‘Togetherness’ events seeks to build a home for difference and inclusion. In a world increasingly characterized by intolerance, and ran by the scared and angry – ‘Togetherness’ represents more than just a club night.
Born and raised on the mean streets of South East London, Huw started vinyl collecting at an unfeasibly young age. And, he's just kept going. One of the main Hunchos at the legendary Soho Vinyl emporium 'Mr Bongos', Huw can also be caught tearing up the floor at his regular South London Soul Train spot. The Mansion, we're in for a ride. Hold tight.
A Grade 2 listed Georgian House set amongst Beckenham Park’s rolling fields, the Mansion has been brought back to it's original splendour by the same people behind The Bussey Building and Copeland Park in Peckham. A truly spectacular venue, this is one of South East London’s best kept secret.
