On November 24th, 2015, the first Leitkultur Nacht was held at Elvis Guesthouse (RIP) in the East Village. Since then, we've moved the collective east (Babel, Studio 151, Nublu), downtown (Louie & Chan), and across the river (Schimanski, Analog, etc.) To celebrate our birthday, we're bringing together the very best in house music for a late night of dance, sweat, smiles and fog.
Entrance to the party is not guaranteed to anyone, even those with tickets, for obvious reasons. Please respect our singular party rule: no devices on the dance floor. Nightlife in New York City is an image-based culture that we are trying to move away from; help us and help yourself. To disconnect is to see.
There is zero tolerance for sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, unsolicited touching or any other oppressive behavior at this event. If you feel that this kind of behavior is being directed at you at any time during the party please approach Mike Guimond or a venue employee or with your concerns and they will be dealt with immediately.
The Leitkultur Nacht (loosely, 'guiding culture night') initiative is a series of parties that take place in various locations across New York City with a focus of three fundamental aspects of international clubbing culture: the celebration of underground electronic music, the destruction of nonsensical commercial nightlife standards, and the cultural cohesion of all ethnicities and groups of people sharing an experience on the dance floor.
Four-point audio sound system, DJ booth in the center of the dance floor, dancers on the stage, no bullshit.
