Special Guest: Eats Everything
Paranoid London (live)
On the final night of 2017, we’re inviting some of the most accomplished artists in techno to round off 2017. Returning after his special guest appearance at the beginning of the year, Phantasy Sound artist Daniel Avery lands. In recent years his records have taken in electro, techno, drone, ambient while behind the decks he commonly plays a mix of propulsive techno and hard-hitting house cuts. Avery is also a seasoned Farringdon regular – after his regular solo sets, a classic edition to our mix series and his own Divided Love residency, Avery’s career has been intrinsically linked to our space. Renowned acidic duo Paranoid London also bring their live set to our space.
Ryan Elliott also returns to join us. A member of the renowned Ostgut Ton crew and long running regular at both Berghain and Panorama Bar, Elliott’s tight and fast-paced mixing style has made him one of techno’s most distinctive DJs. His sets are often defined by a compelling and unerring groove, which he demonstrated best for us on his now-fabled fabric 88 mix. Also joining us is Paula Temple. Earlier this year a flight cancellation almost forced Temple into missing her debut at the club, yet when she finally arrived she delivered one of the best sets we’ve hosted in Room Two this year. She returns for the first time since with her collection of highbrow techno cuts. Following a year of regular appearances in the club, Jay Clarke also lands. Keeping in tradition with our end-of-year celebrations, residents Terry Francis and Craig Richards will also be on hand to soundtrack the night. Doors for the night open earlier than usual at 9pm, with full room breakdowns still to be confirmed.
Update: We’re happy to announce Eats Everything as our final guest. After selling out his charity NYE party in East London Eats Everything will be doubling up and landing in Farringdon to close the night out. Raising money for Have A Drink on Us - a campaign working towards eliminating water related illness and deaths by bringing clean, sustainable water sources to the communities who need them most - he will be donating his entire fee to this cause. We will also be making our own donation and will be giving 10% of our profits to the campaign. The Have a Drink on Us campaign is part of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, a charity set up as a platform for figures from the electronic music community to help children in crisis.
