AAAA B2B Tin Man
Red Bull Music Academy returns to Paris for a thrilling night of acid-tinged techno and dark electronics with Berlin’s analog dance sorceress Xosar, Mexican producer AAAA B2B with Vienna-based West Coast transplant Tin Man and Hivern Discs cohort Marc Piñol.
Academy alumna Xosar has a predilection for conjuring up songs that delve into the shadowy nooks and eerie crevices of electronic production. Her EPs for labels like L.I.E.S., Rush Hour and Crème Organization show a knack for infusing clinical Electribe-crafted beats with a paranormal ambience, leaving a pleasingly ghostly after-effect.
Meanwhile fellow RBMA grad Gabo Barranco AKA AAAA creates electronic music ranging from classic acid house to crackling ambient to Venetian Snares-style glitch bass assaults, showing a deep fascination with both the tradition of techno and the desire to transcend it. This is also true of Vienna by way of LA’s acid revivalist Tin Man, who will be laying down his signature 303-fueled machine funk B2B with Gabo tonight.
Hivern Discs’ Marc Piñol will complete the lineup. As a long time music journalist, decade-long Nitsa resident and John Talabot collaborator, he’s a lynchpin of Barcelona’s electronic music scene.
