Serious soundsystem music only at an intimate party spot in Queens.
DJ Madd, Itoa, Dub Stuy Sound, Olive T, Human? b2b J/K, Anna Morgan x Bell Curve
For Worst Behavior's first event, we're bringing together friends & favorites from all over the sound system spectrum at an intimate venue. *airhorn*
DJ Madd, Roots & Future label boss, will be graciously joining us to test the limits of the venue's custom Stampede Sound system. Madd's releases on labels ranging from Cosmic Bridge to Dub Stuy Sound are dancefloor favorites, connecting underground bass music to its Jamaican reggae influences in a seamless fusion of halftime 808s and dub culture.
We are thrilled to have Itoa here from London to show the meaning of "invigorating juke". With releases on the likes of Bad Taste Records, Roots & Future, and Beat Machine Records, his "no frills club music" knows its place; precision dance-floor assassin.
NYC bass music will be heavily represented, starting with your friendly neighborhood sound system purveyors, local label Dub Stuy Sound. New York native Olive T will delight with musical narratives that weave together sounds ranging from Baltimore Club and Juke to Detroit Techno and Hip Hop. We also have Human? and J/K of NYC's longest running DnB night, Konkrete Jungle, who together comprise Mutant Jazz. Finally, your Worst Behavior hosts, Anna Morgan x Bell Curve, will show off their love of left-field bass music (preferably played at high speeds).
