Craig Richards and Nicolas Lutz playing back-to-back all night in Room One should bring with it a load of twists and turns.
Craig Richards & Nicolas Lutz (All Night Long)
Special Guest: DMX Krew (live)
Room Two: Slam Curates
On 20th January, two of electronic music’s deepest crate diggers face off as Craig Richards and Nicolas Lutz go All Night Long in Room One. Anyone who has seen these two combine in the booth before will know they share a special creative synergy. Their Room Three session at the birthday was a perfect expression of this dynamic as the pair rode on a wave of rave edged cuts and machine funk. We expect them to take their sound a step further in their play time of 8 hours. Be early, they’ll be playing the first and last record starting at 11pm sharp.
To punctuate the proceedings, Lutz and Richards have invited DMX Krew as a special guest with his hardware driven live set. His hyperactive release schedule shows just how much ground this pioneering producer has covered his career from gnarly analogue techno to electro funk – we’re excited to see where the Breakin’ Records boss will take things on the night.
Over in Room Two Slam take over artist curation for their first date in the New Year. With 2017 marking the 25-year anniversary of their landmark Soma Quality imprint, the duo remain at the height of their powers. They invite Ostgut Ton staple Kobosil to join them, journeying from Berlin following the release of his 2017 EP ‘105’, alongside Klockworks artist and EC1 regular Jay Clarke.
