Catz 'N Dogz
Dixon Avenue Basement Jams
After monumental New Year’s Eve celebrations, Ministry of Sound quickly returns to the dance floor with Found. After a while out they are back on January 20th when the tasteful underground crew bring with them Catz ‘N Dogz, Session Victim, Trance Wax and more to be announced.
Found was born in the dark tunnels of South London back in 2011 and since then has become synonymous with sounds rooted in UK garage, Chicago house and Detroit techno. From club shows to warehouse events, they throw many different types of party and as such is a brand now renowned for pairing cutting-edge future stars with original pioneers.
Polish pair Cats ‘N Dogz run their own Pets Recordings and have a sample-heavy house sound powered by big bass. It is off-kilter, fun and never fails to pack out clubs around the world. Joining them in the Box will be german duo Session Victim, renowned crate diggers who imbue their deep house with elements of funk, soul and hip-hop on labels like Delusions of grandeur. A set from them will be a real rollercoaster of emotions and carefully selected gems.
Then in 103, Trance Wax takes over for a very special set. He is someone who runs his own eponymous label and has got people hot under the collar with his fusion of trance and techno sounds in the last year or so. As such he is sure to take you on an inspiring journey filled with emotive highs and visceral power.
This will be a great way to shake off the new year’s blues, with more names to be announced closer to the time.
