Join us at TBA, our launchpad once again as we step into a new void. This time we depart from our earthly existence seeking a groove in a darkness beyond the stratosphere before returning to the glow of holiday lights.
Mari.te is a skilled seamstress of hypnotic house grooves full of depth and surprise. In just a few years, she has established a strong orbit in New York's electronic underground and co-founded the consistently excellent Off The Record parties. Her sets showcase a familiarity with vinyl and a capacity to string together seamless moments of teched-out bliss with a sound that is both focused and dreamy. She joins us to decide the fate of the dancefloor as we slip deeper into the night and approach morning.
Taylor Bense's release on Wolf + Lamb Records, [Feels Good To Be Loved], landed a spot on Soul Clap's Fabric 93 mix released earlier this year. While he is fit for Soul Clap's hip-hop fueled disco-meets-house landscape dripping with sunny synths and uplifting vocals, Taylor is empowered by a true musician's aptitude, not just one style. As a guest for Cultivated Sound, he summons a new sound, a curveball from space outside the standard radar.
Mike Smacylo's sharp, thoughtful, and eclectic sound stands out as a synthesis of London and Brooklyn tastes. As a contributor to Stamp The Wax and a regular at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mike wields serious transatlantic cred. His forward-thinking navigation can be trusted to guide an audience through territories as diverse as UK garage and spiritual jazz, so his set is very much worth an early appearance.
See you on the dance floor.
