A DJ for over four decades and a tireless record collector for even longer, Danny Krivit is nothing short of a New York institution. Thinking of his contributions to the city’s dance culture — Body and Soul, 718 Sessions, more essential dance-floor edits than we can count — we’re honored to have him take over the turntables at the ‘days from open to close this evening. We know we don’t have to tell you, but we will: you’re in good hands tonight.
Indoors at Nowadays is a gathering place with an amazing analog soundsystem and wood dance floor. The room was dreamt up and brought into being by the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday guys.
We're on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. We throw parties on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and we do immersive listening sessions called Planetarium on Sundays. In mid-January we'll open with food, drinks and good tunes playing on the hi-fi pretty much every day of the year.
Thursdays are free, and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays have a cover charge. If you're tight on dough but wanna join us, you can buy early bird tickets here on RA, or you can RSVP to get in for free before midnight on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
