One of European techno's most consistently reliable labels comes to London with its key artists in tow.
Antigone B2B Kr!z
They’ve played Berghain, Bassiani and Dude Club, and for the final stop of Token Records’ 10 year anniversary tour, they’re headed to Village Underground, where it gives us great pleasure to welcome them back for the fourth year. Over the last 10 years Token Records has grown steadily, both in size and stylistic breadth and become one of the most prominent labels in techno.
Having compiled their favourite collaborations into the aptly-titled Momentum compilation, the record also marks a celebration of the close-knit family of artists amassed throughout the label’s running. A collaborative release of just about all of its core artists, Momentum sees Rødhåd, Sigha, Antigone, Ø [Phase], Inigo Kennedy, Kr!z, Tadeo, Ctrls and Oscar Mulero working in pairs on all of the tracks.
For 3rd February, we’ll have two of Token’s earliest and loyal contributors on-side. Inigo Kennedy, the first artist to release on the label back in 2007 with 17 releases on the label, has been a key figure in its musical style and development and originally helping set up the imprint with Kr!z. He’ll be joined by Ø [Phase], who’s contributed no less than 21 releases to label, including two albums. Newly affiliated artist Antigone and one of the residents of Concrete in Paris will also be here, bringing his own unique style and sound on his productions and energetic DJ sets. And last but definitely not least is Kr!z, the mastermind behind the label. Joined by our resident CSGRV who has played with likes of Jeff Mills, Blawan, Dave Clarke and Shifted in 2017 to name just a few.
To top it off, we’ll also be setting up a pop up shop with some of the incredible records from the label run by Kr!z himself.
