There's a buzz every time Jeff Mills brings his 909 into fabric. The Detroit master is back for a three-hour techno voyage.
Room Two: IMF Presents
It’s with great pleasure we announce that Detroit master of techno Jeff Mills will be coming to Room One this Easter Saturday. On this night, Mills will be uniting with his 909 for a three hour techno journey where he will no doubt put a meditative lock on the dance floor and work the capabilities of his drum machine and turntable handling to their fullest. He’s joined by Craig Richards, our own resident and digger of all forms of high-class electronic music, while Amsterdam’s LET collective promoter and A&R JP Enfant rounds off the bill.
Plus, Marcel Fengler will be presenting the sound of his IMF imprint in strength in Room Two. Curated to tie in with the label’s latest and most ambitious release project to date, Fengler has invited artists involved in a forthcoming compilation to perform. Firstly Fjaak will be in the house performing live while one of the most exciting DJs to recently emerge from Berlin’s world-leading techno community Thomas Hessler will come to Farringdon for the first time. The finer details on the release are yet to be fully revealed, but with the label boss himself describing the tracks as ‘breathtaking weapons’ we know that it will be a real sonic treat.
