Tom Drew (2)

We kick off our next year of events at our favourite Leeds venue, the intimate space of Wire. This one has been long awaited and it gives us great pleasure to welcome Theo Kottis to town. Theo was 21 when he made a name for himself on the Edinburgh circuit through playing regular slots at Cabaret Volataire, which brought the opportunity to sign his early releases to Moda Black. Since then, Theo’s career has taken him to play gigs in the USA and across Europe. With the forthcoming release of his first solo album on his own label ‘Beautiful Strangers,’ 2018 is set to be his biggest year yet and we can’t wait to have him involved.
In support we have none other than our incredibly talented resident Kieran Apter. Another one of Edinburgh’s rising stars, Kieran is the ‘Tweak_’ head honcho and has supported the likes of Dixon, Mano le Tough and Tale of Us. This year he made his very successful debut on Chapter 24 Records with his ‘All I Want’ EP, with remixes from Aera and Manuel Tur.
Completing the lineup we have the Leeds based ‘Loop Hole’ boss Tom Drew. Tom’s broad record collection is highlighted wonderfully by his eclectic sets in which he plays a range of cosmic disco and psychedelic soul, underlayed with dubby house and techno oddities. It’s a pleasure to have Tom playing for us and we’re very excited to see what he brings.
