Manchester’s Transmission Funk and Middlesbrough’s SHAKE team up for the first time as they both make their Leeds debuts and bring the hotly-rated Studio Barnhus head honcho Kornél Kovács along for the ride..
Kornél was recently placed at number 15 on a list of the 20 best DJ's in the world by Mixmag and is making people dance to his music all over the globe. His infectious performances have resulted in festival appearances at the likes of Dekmantel & Love International, a jam-packed calendar of gigs at institutions like Panorama Bar & Phonox and the chance to play alongside some of electronic music's biggest hitters including Jackmaster & Denis Sulta.
Kornél is also one of the three bossmen of the Studio Barnhus label (alongside Axel Boman & Pedrodollar), which is often lauded for its diverse range of dancefloor sounds and infectiously lighthearted approach toward dance music. His well-received Radio Koko EP, released on Jackmaster's Numbers label, featured standout track 'Pantalon', which was a playful take on an old Italo Disco track and is an example of Kornél’s entertaining approach to music and, well, life in general.
