Inquiry is proud to welcome mau5trap artist Rinzen for his San Francisco debut!
Rinzen will join us for a night of techno at Monarch alongside our own Inquiry residents. Having previously played at our desert gatherings, New Moon and Curiosity, Rinzen is no newcomer to Inquiry. Expect a glorious night of techno from start to finish.
Rinzen is a new producer out of Los Angeles seeking to create entire worlds with his music. Signed to mau5trap, Rinzen combines cinematic sound design with forward-thinking house and techno production to create something that is downright awe-inspiring.
Rinzen began in January 2017 with an official remix of Giorgio Moroder for Casablanca Records. The song received praised from Moroder himself, who stated: “This is Rinzen's first official release, and I am so honored to be a part of it.” The remix was ultimately picked up by SiriusXM, who go on to support it on BPM for three consecutive months.
In March, Rinzen fulfilled a long-time dream, officially joining mau5trap with his debut original, 'Renegade.' A nod to films like Blade Runner and The Matrix, the single demonstrated Rinzen’s unique ability to blend cinematic tropes with forward-thinking house and techno production.
Rinzen would go on to follow up with his debut EP, Forbidden City, on mau5trap in October. The three-track concept EP was lauded by Billboard, who hailed it “a sonic exploration of human depth.”
Rinzen has recently been selected for Mixmag’s coveted Impact series, as well as been named one of EDMTunes’ ‘Breakout Artists of 2017.’ In December, Rinzen joined Eric Prydz for three nights at Output in New York City for New Years’ Eve.
Inquiry brings carefully selected music, and unbound artistic expression, to dynamic experiences for the curious at heart.
