Slipped Disco presents DJ Ben Osborne at Big Chill Bar.
Ben Osborne returns to his long running residency at Brick Lane’s iconic musical hang out. Described as a “polymath” by Time Out, as well as DJing Ben is a writer, musician, award winning creative producer and the founder of the Noise of Art music cross-platfrom art organisation. Edinburgh’s cultural bible, The Skinny, describes Noise of Art as “the travelling festival of electronic music, visuals, and strong links with the Berlin scene [which ]previously appeared at The Tate, ICA, (and many others...) Flattering credentials indeed. “
Time Out says Ben’s Slipped Disco DJ sets see “techno, funk, galactic house, deep down and dirty disco and other dancefloor dynamite do the rounds" and the Guardian described a Noise of Art shows as: “An actual cathedral of Sound”.
His recent international appearances include La Communal and Moulin Rouge in Paris and Cross Club and Vlkova in Prague.
He's presented shows on Xfm, NME Radio and Totally Radio and has worked at the forefront of digital music, and written extensively about music for newspapers and magazines. His books include the Arctic Monkeys biography and his book on the development of electronic music and club culture has been described as 'essential' by Gilles Peterson.
