SEQUENCE installment 039 continues its party series with the DC debut of the mindbending project from Claudio PRC and Ness titled The Gods Planet. The Gods Planet may seem like another Berlin DJ duo; however, their mesmerizing, emotive, hypnotic, pulsing techno is really the effortless creative output of two lifelong friends and proud Italian citizens. Claudio PRC should be a familiar name to anyone collecting European techno at any point in the last 8 years. His tracks have found their way onto many beloved labels including: Semantica, Prologue, Informa, and Planet Rhythm. As The Gods Planet, Claudio PRC searches for a deeper, synergistic journey by joining his friend and esteemed producer Ness. SEQUENCE recognizes the special bond that creates the unforgettable The Gods Planet experience and selected a few of our favorite like-minded selectors to accompany them. Brooklyn-based A.M.D. and Baltimore-based duo Oracles (Aphreaq and Bastet) almost immediately came to mind. A.M.D., brings years of experience in the booth and nurturing his sound as part of the EXILE parties at Bossa Nova Civic Club. For Oracles, Aphreaq and Bastet, both longtime fixtures in the Baltimore techno/noise scene, combine their studios and minds to open the night with a hybrid set no doubt awash with their dark and brooding soundscapes. Closing the show will be a special energy filled B2B from SEQUENCE residents Ron Jackson and Damon Bradley. You have heard them before midmorning on New Year’s Day or maybe in opening for Ø [Phase] just a couple of months ago. If so, you know their unique perspectives on techno combine flawlessly, and for this party we expect them to send us into the morning with wide grins on our faces after a night of unpredictable sonic mayhem rarely seen in the US, let alone our nation’s capital. The event will take place in a undisclosed warehouse location in Washington DC. Everyone attending must RSVP for the location address.
