Ostgut Ton's techno industrialist, Terrence Fixmer, takes top billing with a rare live-DJ hybrid set.
Terence Fixmer (Live — Hybrid)
Mr. Nails and Mr. Wax
Thanks to all who came out to our pre-Thanksgiving get-down with Veronica Vasicka.
For our next gig, we’re bringing in our inaugural international artist, first in a series of residents from everybody’s favorite Sonntagsschule: Berghain. We’re pleased to announce Terence Fixmer, a true industrial techno pioneer, legendary producer, dj, and remixer of the notorious and non-conforming.
Terence has been one of the darkest lights in industrial techno for close to two decades, from his debut LP Muscle Music to his decade-long collaboration with Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy. His 2015 LP Depth Charged crushed 🤯, and he’s put out a series of stunning EPs since (consult your trusty online electronic music magazine for guidance). He will be playing a rare live - hybrid set that should adjust a few notions about what dark techno done right sounds like. Klubnacht the Saturday before and then Friday night with us...don’t sleep, kiddos.
Topping Terence’s once-in-a-dark-moon hybrid set will be L.I.E.S. and Bunker stalwart, Gunnar Haslam. Gunnar has been ripping in NY and abroad as one third of Hot Mix, one half of Romans, and as a solo artist of repute with ultra-heady dj and live sets. His range is matched by his pumpin skills on the decks, so we’re happy to have him bringing the dank, dark, funk in a solo dj set. (Side note: his live set with Romans was a highlight of Sustain Release for us 😵)
Mr. Nails and Mr. Wax will be opening the dark curtains before Terence’s set and letting in very little light.
We are going to be at a special spot and going v late, so no peeking until the day of, but expect something cool. Snap up the pre-sales tho, cause, ya know, you only live 🤘s
